1997 BMW R850R in excellent shape 43k miles. This is a great sport touring machine that's been garaged and well maintained. Like all BMWs it is extremely reliable. The 850cc engine is more rare and better balanced than the 1100cc. Includes system cases, heated grips, and two fairings. Shown with the Scout sport fairing but also has the original clear plexi touring ($600 new). Fresh oil change, tires at least half life, new front brake pads, really needs nothing. If you have only one bike this is the one. Delivery within NE considered (as long as I can get a bus to Boston). Price is based on condition - you will not be disappointed. I really can't give it a numeric rating, but it's very good. New photos have been posted trying to show the shinny finish to the paint and the excellent quality of the power coating. The tank, a big 5.5 gallon touring tank is perfect and is one of the nicest things about the bike. There is one scratch on the cylinder head (shown) that I could repair, but haven't bothered (original owner). I did put on engine guards after I bought it six years ago. To me, more important than the finish is the combination of: comfortable ride/ modern suspension/ good power/ system cases/ very reliable/ good looks/ durability/ safety (i.e., great brakes/good lights/upright position). The fuel injected, oil cooled, well maintained engine will give you lots of life and won't break down in the middle of a busy highway. I have two other BMWs, both considerably older. This bike is almost too smooth, easy to ride, new... for me.More questions please ask.
