What a cool little car! GREAT on gas! Only reason I am selling is that I just inherited a car from my grandmother. You are bidding on a 1998 Chevy Metro 4 door sedan with 142,300 miles. FL car all its life so NO rust. Starts right up and runs great! No rattles, clicks, clacks, leaks, etc. OVER $2000 invested in the last 3 years!!! New CV joints, rebuilt transmission, new timing belt, new brakes, new plugs and wires, new A/C (ice cold), new tires (175/70/13 Michelins up front w less than 3K, rear tires are 175/70/13 General Dynomax and have 7K). Interior in amazing shape... no rips or tears in the seats. Nice and clean. AM/FM stereo works great. NO CD or cassette player. Garaged for 3/4 of its life. Carpet looks almost new. Everything works! No surprises! Very basic model... no power windows, power lock, or power seats... so nothing to go wrong! Here's the amazing part: 34 mpg on average! I've actually gotten 39 mpg while cruising back and forth to work at 60 mph. A/C definitely robs power and economy. Heat works great, but rarely used here in FL. I bought this car from a girl who was anal about maintenance! She changed the oil every 2500 miles and took extremely good care of the car. I switched over to Mobil 1 synthetic when I bought it at 103,000 miles and changed the oil every 4-5K. Uses about 1/2 quart between changes. Small puff of smoke on a cold start in the morning (valve seals?) then runs perfect. Transmission shifts great... just serviced 3K ago. Body is awesome EXCEPT for the paint! Straight with a few small dings (barely noticeable), but the paint is super faded. Needs a paint job if looks are important to you.
