Thanks! 1957 FORD THUNDERBIRD LOW RESERVE You are viewing a 1957 Ford thunderbird in good shape. The body is very solid and was repainted about 6 years ago. The vehicle has been garage kept. New interior pieces will come with the car. The engine has been rebuilt 3 years ago and has less than 100 miles. She has not been driven for some time and will need a tune-up and maintenance. The brakes will need to be replaced. The code on the firewall is 40 QQ XJ17D530204P. We listed this vehicle early last spring and it did not hit our reserve, we have lowered the reserve this time as we are motivated to sell. I am copying and pasting some of the questions from the previous auction below Dear ********, As far as we know the top is the original, we do not have the chrome and gasket for the rear. The previous owners had it fly off the car when they were driving which is what caused the glass to break. Structurally it is in good shape but will need to be adjusted. There is no spare or jack. We don't believe there has ever been a problem with chrome on the front grille as long as it's been in our family. The rockers look very clean with a minimal amount of rust underneath. The car is very solid and has been garaged 100% of the time for the last 30 years. The data plate reads 40 QQ XJ17D530204P. From these numbers I get the car being manufactured in Dearborn, MI on April 17th, the original color was Thunderbird Bronze. Thank you for your question, have a good week! Dear *********, Yes it is metal and there are air ducts under the fenders. We ask that you ship the vehicle, we do not have a trailer or someone to drive the vehicle. I would be weary to drive the vehicle a long distance without someone going through the engine first and replacing the brakes. This vehicle comes with the hard and soft top, each top will need to be restored as you can see from the photos. We are the third owners of the vehicle and have had it 17 years.
