Vehicle Detail

Up for auction is the nicest 1938 Chevy Master Deluxe 2 door Sedan you'll ever see. I acquired the car as an original, all steel, west coast car. All of the sheet metal, bumpers, bumper brackets, grill, door and window handles, and bright work, are all original 38 Chevy. It took me approximately 6 years to do a frame off buildup of what you see before you. The car features a 1974 Mustang II front end. The front end has been updated with full lower control arms. The brakes have been replaced with updated aftermarket disc brakes and pads. The steering is rack and pinion steering. The frame has been smoothed and painted to match the gray interior. All fuel and brake lines are hand formed stainless steel lines. The remainder of the brake and fuel lines are real steel braided lines. The gas tank is a "Tanks" 16 gallon polyethylene tank with a new sending unit installed. The rear end is a 1990 Chevy S-10 rear end running 3:73 limited slip gears. The rear end has been completely rebuilt with all new axle seals and bearings and a new pinion bearing. The completely rebuilt engine is a 350 small block Chevy that has been bored .30 over. Nothing but the best was used in the rebuild. It is equipped with an Edlebrock 650 cfm carb, HEI distributor, Taylor purple wires, Walker 4 core brass radiator, flex fan, high flow water pump. Exhaust exits through HPC ceramic coated shorty headers and flow out of dual HPC ceramic coated exhaust tubes into Flowmaster mufflers. The exhaust dumps out through tips concealed behind the rear fenders. The transmission is a 700-R4. The motor and transmission were painted to match the car using the same paint that is on the body. The A/C lines are real steel braided hoses. All of the body work was completed by me. It is completely rust free. After months of bodywork straightening every panel and checking for proper fit, the car was sprayed with several coats of white sealer then the DeBeers yellow single stage paint was applied. The car was painted in a paint booth and allowed to cure. The paint was color sanded then buffed to a high shine. The yellow is so bright that you might need welding goggles to look at it in bright sunlight. Lenny Ribaudo, the owner of SoCal Speed Shop in Las Vegas, layed down the classic pinstripes. The underside of the car was given the same attention to detail. The running boards are smooth 16 gauge cold rolled steel boards with all new brackets underneath. The interior was done by legendary upholsterer Denny Nish. His work has won numerous awards at national shows like the Grand National Roadster Show. The seats are covered in gray Ultra Leather and the inserts are purple Ultra Suede. Even the seats have seat heaters for those cold mornings. The headliner is gray Ultra Leather. The carpet is purple Daytona Weave carpet. The doors, kick panels, rear package tray, and trunk lid, are covered in Ultra Leather. The covered door panels are all constructed in aluminum.Electricity flows through a"Painless Wiring" 12 circuit loom. Heating and cooling by Vintage Air. Gauges are "Classic Instruments". Sounds are provided by a "Custom Auto Sound" hidden radio with a 10 disc CD changer mounted flush at the bottom of the rear seat. There is also a keyed battery disconnect installed so you can safely park your car anywhere you want. The Optima battery is located in the trunk and enclosed in an Ultra Leather wrapped box. The tilt steering column is from a 1978 Pontiac Sunfire and steering is handled by a leather wrapped Grant banjo style steering wheel.I have all the receipts for everything on the car. You couldn’t have this car built for what I’m asking. I’m selling this car because as my life changes so must my hobbies. I get about 16 mpg on the highway especially when I engage the Dakota Digital cruise control. If you have any questions, please call me at 702-813-8412 or email me. I guarantee this car will turn heads and you will have years of fun with it. Also included is a Wardlaw bra and grill screen and a California Car Cover. I will pay for enclosed shipping to anywhere in the Continental U.S. Buyer to arrange shipping through Reliable Transport. Reliable and/or buyer will be responsible for all damages incurred during shipping. The car is being sold locally and I reserve the right to end the auction if it's purchased locally.
