Vehicle Detail

Titled 1963. Always garaged since acquired by second owner in 1971. Rust free frame, but rusted inner fender walls in engine compartment. Path panels applied to body which will need to be welded in. Floor panels already welded in. "C" model '57 T-Birds were sold primarily to Ford dealers as demo cars, always equipped in 3 speed only with a 292 C.I. engine and 2 BBL carburetor. Car will need a complete brake job. Engine runs out good. Interior is nice but used. Dash pad is solid gauges are there. Radiator date is September 1956 which 5 October 1956 build date. In my 50 years involved with 1957 Thunderbirds this is only the second factory Starmist Blue "C" T-Bird I am aware of as most were Colonial White with Black and White interior. It is also the earliest "C" model I've seen in my 50 years of Thunderbirding, by vin number as it was the 15 thousandth Ford product off the line. When it started up 1957 model cars, trucks, T-Birds in mid September 1956. The transmission "H" pattern is that of a "3 on the tree" Ford car or truck where 1st treasure are now top left and bottom left instead of the opposite. For T-Bird carburetor and manifold are one barrel instead of 2 barrel. This is an estate project car that is an excellent winter restoration project in a rare model and factory color. We place many interesting 1955-1957 Ford Thunderbirds each year! Call us at 215-514-1944 with questions or for an inspection. Buyers are more than welcome to inspect vehicle in person (I DO encourage personal inspection) and before auction ends. No inspections will be allowed after end of the auction! No exception!! Do all of your homework and due diligence in regard of this car before auction ends!!!! Please do not assume anything and do ask any questions you might have in regard of this car, as well as ask for any additional photos that would be of special interest for you and that I might have missed, so we avoid case of "buyer’s remorse" afterwards. Also, please remember that this is used and not fully restored antique vehicle that is 54 years old, so expect to see some wear and tear that is normal for the vehicle of that age. Buyer must realize that this is vintage vehicle and by their very nature will need Tender Loving Care and maintenance appropriate to such a vehicle. This is not a new car and should not be treated as such. This vehicle is being sold AS-IS, where is, and without any warranty expressed, written, or implied. The seller shall not be responsible for the correct description, authenticity, genuineness, or defects herein, and makes no warranty in connection therewith. ANY and ALL representations made in the description above are made to the best of the Seller‘s knowledge, however, due to divergent notions of condition and quality, you are encouraged to rely on your own physical inspection of the vehicle and not the description above.
