Now about this nice original CA truck.... You are looking at pictures of a very rare 100% RUST FREE 1978 chevrolet K-30 3500 series 1 Ton 4 wheel drive pickup, these were made in very limited numbers in those years and mosts were special order trucks. This truck was ordered and purchased from FH Daily Chevrolet in Oakland, CA. We have the original new vehicle inspection procedure sheet dated 8-24-78, with the technicians signature who completed the inspection before the original owner picked it up on 8-31-78, this sheet will come with the truck as well as the orginal owners manual, orgininal vehicle maintanance schedule booklet, and original build sheet sticker in the glove box. This truck has an updated front clip, upgraded bed, and complete upgraded interior from a 1987 Chevy pickup. This truck has a 105,000 easy original miles on it and it feels and drives like it. This truck has its original 400 small block V8 in it and it runs super. The transmission is the original heavy duty turbo 400 3 speed automatic and it also shifts through all the gears perfect. The transfer case is the original NP 203 and it works perfect. The front axle is the original heavy duty DANA 60 with the manual locking hubs and factory disc brakes, it is in excellent condition. The rear axle is the original heavy duty GM corp. 14 bolt full floater with a factory locker in it, it is in excellent shape. The truck has all of its original suspension intact and it rides super nice. The truck has a set of aluminum Western wheels on it with 31 inch BFGoodrich All Terrain tires, the tires have a 25-35% tread left on them. In the pictures you will notice that each wheel is missing 4 lug nuts, I have all new lug nuts on order for it and they will be on the truck in the next couple of days. Overall the truck runs and drives excellent, with tons of solid power. The exterior of the truck is in fair shape and totally rust free, the paint job is a basic, do NOT expect perfect paint or body work. There area few small dents and dings and scratches throughout some areas but nothing major. The inside of the bed is in good shape. The truck has the upgraded 84-87 style side smoldings and wheel well moldings. It is missing one of the Silverrado 30 emblems on the passenger side fender. The interior is all new and in excellent condition, We just installed a new GM dash pad, and new GM door panels, complete with all correct dorr panel accesories. Both power windows and door locks work perfectly. We just restored the factory bench seat, it was completely taken apart, refoamed and repadded and covered with high quality cloth, it is in absolute beautiful shape. We also just installed all new factory style black carpeting complete with new heel pad and new insulation. The headliner is also new. The original build sheet sticker and owners manual are still in the glove box. This truck has a factory tilt steering column, and dual gas tanks which work. All lights and gauges work perfect. The truck has a JVC CD player in it wired to the factory rear speakers. This is a factory A/C truck, but the compressor and lines have been removed.
