1949 Chevrolet Fleetline Fastback 2 dr. Street Rod. Fleetlines are becoming Rare and desirable. This Fleetline was built about 5 years ago and still shows great. It started as a super straight Georgia 1949 Fleetline 6 cylinder. Now it is powered by a 350 4 bolt main rebuilt Chevrolet V8 with a Rebuilt 700 R GM Transmission that makes this car drive great. It has a 77 Nova Rear end, and a Complete Heidts front suspension assembly which includes Tublar A Arms, Power Disc Brakes and Mustang II Rack and Pinion Steering. Also added was a new Vintage type Air Condition and Heat Unit. The AC is Cold and is very adequate for this large cruiser. The Black Paint is High Quality Base Coat Clear Coat and is super slick. The body is super straight and rust free. When Car was wet sanded and buffed a slight blemish showed up on Drivers front fender. The bumpers have been re-chromed and are as new. The stainless is also in very good condition. The undercarriage, floor pans, inner rockers and frame is one of the nicest and most solid you will see. At restoration particular attention was given to the undercarriage detail. (See detailed pictures.) The Interior is new and is covered in Real Quality genuine Leather. Yes Leather!!! It also has new carpet, door panels and headliner The glass is good, but mostly original with minor clouding on some edges. The Fleetline sets on new 17 in. and 18 in. Polished Americans and new Radial Tires. I also have original wheels, hub caps and new tires as wells as original bumper guards, shirts and hood ornament. This Fleetline is very Rare and a real show stopper. Also installed at restoration was a E-Z wiring harness. All Lights, Instruments and gauges work. Fuel gauge works best with a full tank. I have tried to describe this Chevrolet honestly and accurately.
