Vehicle Detail

1976 Trans Am 400 pontiac motor and auto tranny runs and shifts excellent, sounds very nice. Brakes work good and it charges like it should. T-tops fit well, I bet they'll leak but I've never driven the car in the rain (garage kept always). Clean clear title and current tag. I drive the car all the time but please trailer this car as it's untested on long trips and the tires look like hammered shit. I've driven this car for miles at 90mph on these tires but I assure you they are rotten. The carb loads up from time to time, it really needs rebuilt. All the ac parts are there, but a/c doesn't work, neither do the headlights. Speedo works but tach stops moving at 2k rpm. Radio does not come on and I assume the factory 8 track is in-op. Taillights work along with one brake light. All I've done to the car since I've owned it is change the air filter and fuel filter. Really needs a good tune-up. Minor oil leak from passenger side valve cover. Interior is really tired, but all the parts are present. No rust in floors or trunk, rust is only in the left rear quarter panel and bottom of trunk lid beneath the spoiler. Power windows leap up like frogs from a dynamite pond, but only the passenger side power lock is working. I've owned the car for a while and I love it, but the current economy is in the shitter so I need to sell some toys. If your still interested in this mechanical asshole, here is the story of this neglected T/A. In 1975-6 this car was bought new by an older Pontiac enthusiast with a crack head son. The story I got is that the old man loved the car and treated it like his own child. Meanwhile the crack head son (the old man also loved) shared the same type of devotion to it. From time to time old man would let crack head borrow the car, each time it came back in worse condition. Crack head goes through a barb wire fence and the old man has a cheapo paintjob done, but doesn't replace any of the bad ass decals. After the solid white paint old man lets crack head borrow it again. This time he really pisses off old man and comes home with only one t-top (I've since replaced the t-top and also bought an extra driver side). The old man is bewildered in the condition the car he has received and parks it in the garage and relinquishes the keys from the crack head. Then the car sat from 1986 to around a year ago when the car was pulled from it's tomb and put back on the road by a very good friend of mine. I traded him a very nice '64 vw for it and discovered the economy sucks and I can't keep it. The only fault I find in the old man is that when he pulled it into the garage for safe keeping, he did not pull it all the way into the garage. He let the ass end of it set out in the weather and it rusted out the bottom of the trunk lid and the left rear quarter panel. The wheels on the car now are horrible, but I have a set of origianl 15x7 snowflakes that are included. The trunk and floors are in very nice, but the left rear quarter and trunk lid are not. Story over and down to business. I've sold over fifty classic cars on ebay and shipped them to Indonesia, Austrailia, England, Canada, and even a few stayed here. I've got 100% feedback and plan to keep it. I can get you any pick of the car you would like within 24 hrs. NO RESERVE FIVE DAY AUCTION, IF YOU HAVE ZERO FEEDBACK CONTACT ME BEFORE BIDDING. MUST BE PAID IN FULL WITHIN SEVEN DAYS OF AUCTION END. NO PAYPAL! BANK TRANSFER OR CASH ONLY. This car is listed locally and I'll end the auction at any time.
