1940 Dodge, Deluxe, 4 door sedan runs well, body in excellent shape, original paint, high quality chrome plating on original parts, 43K miles, upgraded electrical system, new brakes, rebuilt carborator, white wall tires, rear doors open forward, does need interior reconditioning, a beautiful car. Power for the D14 comes from a six-cylinder engine that produced nearly 90 horsepower. The gearbox has a three-speed selective sliding transmission with column shift controls. Designed by Raymond H. Dietrich of coachbuilding fame. The bodyshell has a sleeker profile, integrated trunk, and two-piece vee'd windshield. Dietrich gave the Dodge a fresh, Art Deco look via flush headlamps astride a rounded prow dividing a lower-profile horizontal-bar grille. Has the Dodge family crest (within a winged nose medallion).
