1959 Volkswagen----This is my son's project that he has been working on-gathering parts-refinishing-altering-restoring for the past 5 years. My son Marc and I own "Doc's Customs", a small custom hot rod and motorcycle shop. I have been fabricating, building, and custom painting for over 45 years. Marc grew up doing this and is taking over the business. Personal projects are being thinned out. This particular VW has the most solid body and floor pan that I have ever seen on an older VW--not even rusted out under where the battery sits. The original 59 VW engine (complete-even exhaust and heat exchangers) goes with the car. if it meets reserve price, I will throw in a 1600cc dual port motor ( on engine stand now). Both motors are in good condition and were running when pulled. Marc has a little over $5,000 invested in this project. The reserve is no where even close to that---SOMEONE is going to get a heck of a deal!!!!! I will try to list all new parts that are STILL IN THE BOX but it would be impossible to list them all. We are still finding parts as we look through the garage. NEW (besides 4 NOS fenders that are on the bug)---Chrome Bumpers w/ 4 chrome bumper guards and all brackets-black and silver alum. running boards-complete set of VDO guages(tach,oil press,oil temp,volt,fuel,clock)-custom dash inserts-headlight buckets and halogen H4 headlights-tail lights-chrome peek mirrors-new window regulators for solid style door glass-solid style door glass-window tracks-window seals-door rubbers-weatherstripping-chrome distributor-stainless braided plug wires-finned valve covers-brake lines-brake hardware-master cyl-wheel cyls-gas pedal. Many more boxes of misc. parts. Also includes all original parts that were on the bug--even the flip out turn indicators(on door post) in good shape.All original glass(windshield,back glass,side glass,door glass,vent windows) in excellent shape. NEW window rubbers. Bug also has a fully adj. front axle assy. Tires are 85%-Wheels are alum. solid and need polishing. Wheel adapters are included.
