1949 Chevrolet Suburban Carryall. This truck has Rust. That said it is a great candidate for a proper restoration or drive as is. Engine is a late Chevy inline 235 6 cyl. It fires right up (12 volt). Motor sounds good, has good oil pressure and does not smoke. It does have a small exhaust leak (cracked manifold at bolt to exhaust pipe, I will include a good manifold and gasket). It was originally a 3 speed manual but has an sm420 4 speed on the floor. Original gas tank is gone and it runs from an aux tank mounted in the rear. Brakes are good and ebrake works. It is drivable as is. But I would plan to give it a tune up as it has been sitting. It has good tires. 12 volt "painless wiring" harness has been installed with modern guages. Most all lights and electrical are in working order (no horn working, but there). Dash has been drilled for modern radio but the radio hole has not been enlarged. I have the headliner bows. All window trim is present. The fixed glass is broken down the sides, but slider glass is good. Windshiled is good and most importantly the back clamshell glass is good. Original seats are long gone but all attaching hardware is still in the floor. Has a 1950 truck front seat. It has the correct lights on the rear, minus a couple lenses. The Clamshell rear door is very good to excellent with no rust at all (see photos). The floors are good except under passenger front seat. Most of the rust in body is from under the fenderwells. I photographed it in detail and will ad a link so you can see even more. I have a spare passenger door that is better than what is on it. Drivers door is good. Fenders have rust right where they bolt to body. Drip rail, under clamshell, front floors, running boards are all solid. Extra grill, exhaust manifold, pass door and some other small spares included. Clear CA title, and on non-op the last 9 years so no back fees due in CA.
