Vehicle Detail

For sale is a beautiful 1972 AMC Javelin SST I always loved this car and body style and purchased this car last Spring . I love the car, but now realize that I have too many cars and have never found the time to drive this one. So, regretfully I am selling it. Listed below are all the repairs/work that the previous owner, from Iowa, included in his listing. It is an extensive list: New Parts: Chrome alternator Caburater Belts Power steering hoses Points and distribuitor cap Radiator hoses Water Pump Timing chain and gears Brakes Voltage Regulator Oil breather cap Rebuilt Starter Fuel Pump Fuel lines Valve covers and gaskets Rings Oil pump Freeze plugs Headliner 4 drums turned New brake pads New Springs New wheel cylinders Additional Body Work: $3,000 paint job D7 Trans Am Red, totally sand blasted and rust preventative added Floor is excellent Fenders were all removed and had tab lips replaced Chrome is all excellent New carpets and floor mats New door pins New rear quarters New tires and replaced rims (rims are 15inch Torque Thrust Rims) Transmission is a T14(was rebuilt) Fly Wheel preserve plate was resurfaced New Clutch Disk New Drive Shaft and Universals The car is a beauty, but it is not a show car and does still need a few things if I was going to keep it. First thing I would do is buy a new shifter. It does shift, but it's way too loose for me. Shifter should run $100-$200. Second, I would replace the front seats. I believe they are original and show signs of wear. They are not horrible, but new seats would realy improve the interior look. I bought air shocks to lift the back a bit higher, but never installed them. They will go with the car. As I said, the car isn't perfect, but it's a beauty, a great example of an iconic 70's American muscle car, solid and will make an excellent addition to someone's collection
