GREAT ON GAS, 40+MPG (CITY/HWY)! 1999 VW GOLF GLS TDI TURBO DIESEL FOUR DOOR HATCHBACK WITH LOW MILES, 5 SPEED MANUAL TRANSMISSION, GREAT STEREO, CLEAN 15 INCH ALLOY WHEELS, SUNROOF, COLD AIR CONDITIONING, NEWER TIRES AND MUCH MORE. This gorgeous looking Golf is silver metallic with gray interior and has truly been well kept and maintained. Due to such great MPG, this car will save you $$$ every year compared to most gas powered vehicles. Please review this history of this vehicle that is attached to this listing and question me on any items so I can answer them to the best of my knowledge. The mileage represented is the actual mileage of this vehicle. The existing body damage was mainly caused by the tread on the 2 rear tires separating (see pictures). Since that incident, I had all 4 tires, including the spare replaced with quality Toyo brand tires. Please review all pictures in great detail to view the existing dents, dings, scratches, rub marks, tears, etc. and ask me questions if need be. The only item I couldn’t get a great picture of was the missing driver-side wheel well liner (can be purchased on Ebay). I do know that the front struts need to be replaced and the car needs to have the scheduled maintenance done, which includes the timing belt kit overhaul and possible suspension bushings. On the inside, you can see overall that things are in good order, mainly the driver and passenger seats. The dash doesn’t appear to have any cracks, the carpeting is in good shape and all electrical items are in working order. The cup holder is broken and parts of the liner on the doors and headliner are falling. The sunshade can be replaced (can be purchased on Ebay). The coolant temperature gauge is intermittent at times as well, but has not caused any alarms. I had the interior detailed at the beginning of July. To my knowledge, this car is a non-smoker (I am do not smoke). Besides the exterior and interior blemishes this car has many more miles to achieve, these TDI’s can last hundreds of thousands of miles. Mechanically, the oil has been changed every 3,000 miles. This vehicle's transmission shifts out nice and smooth from gear to gear. The turbo diesel engine is sound and can be driven anywhere with confidence.
