This is undoubtedly the most rare of the 129 Series SL Mercedes, being equipped with a 5 speed manual transmission. Only a handful of these cars were made for the US market and I believe they were only available for the 1990 production year. The car is finished in Black paintwork with Tan leather interior. The combination of the gearbox and lighter 6 cylinder engine gives a very sporty feel to this car, acceleration is very lively and handling is more akin to a BMW. The soft top is in excellent condition and the mechanism, having recently been serviced, is working correctly. The car comes with a matching hardtop which is currently in storage. There are some imperfections in the paint, these being too small to photograph, there is a crack in the spoiler under the front bumper. The interior is very comfortable, the seats having been reconditioned at some time. The car has been serviced within the last 400 miles.
