If you have ever thought about luxury cruising on a true road machine, this is it. Nothing quite matches straddling a silky smooth six cylinder engine while cruising down the highway in full command of the road with all the amenities at your fingertips. This is where the fun and adventure and freedom of motorcycle traveling meets up with comfort and luxury. With a CB, Intercom, Radio, and Cassette deck for entertainment if you need it, you'll never get bored with a drive even through the most desolate areas. And with the tow hitch, you can always trailer along whatever you need for the adventure at hand whether it is camping by the lake or traveling to one of this countries great national parks. This is a large touring bike and includes reverse for easy backing up. This machine is a great example of fine engineering and craftsmanship. While it is an '88, it has extremely low miles due to being owned by an older couple. The original engine has been replaced with a later one (1993 I think, which saw in the introduction of needle roller bearings on the rocker arm pivots) which had about 35,000 miles on it and the carburetors were replaced with a set from 1991 which are much refined from the originals. This combination starts quickly and runs strong even in cool mornings. All of the options work great including the radio, CB, cassette deck, cruise control, lights, trailer plug, trailer hitch, and reverse. The original (complete) tool kit is also included. The only thing on this that is not completely working is the LCD display, as shown. The seat is comfortable and in great condition. The windshield shown is going to be replaced with a later one having a vent before the action is over and new pictures will be uploaded. The small sub-mirrors are a great addition and virtually eliminate any blind spot. The engine has plenty of low end torque and a very smooth torque curve. This great machine was somewhat of a barn find after one of the original owners had passed away. While bringing this back to life, the aforementioned engine was replaced with one from a later model, the carburetors were updated, and new master cylinder kits were installed in the clutch and rear brakes. New seals were installed around the engine shift linkage, output shaft, and starter. The air filter was upgraded to a K&N. A new battery was installed as well. Of course the front and rear brake systems and the clutch system was totally flushed and the oil in the engine and rear differential is fresh. The tires are great. I have a clear title in hand for the new owner to take as they ride off into the sunset. I'll even include a full tank of fuel to start things off right.
