Hello everyone, Hernik here from the world famous GM Truck Center in beautiful down town Burbank, CA. I hope everyone has been enjoying our custom built trucks and vehicles on the History channels Top Gear America show, tune in for more upcoming episodes featuring GM Truck Center customized vehicles. Now about this super nice truck.... Here we have a very rare all original including original paint, 100% RUST FREE, 1987 Chevrolet 3/4 ton 4 wheel drive with the factory fuel injected 350 V8 and the bullet proof SM 465 manual 4 speed transmission with the compount low first gear. This truck was ordered with the heavy duty Scottsdale 20 package, which included A/C ( blows ice cold ), larger radiator, heavier suspension, sway bar, towing package, and manual windows. This truck has its original small block factory fuel injected 350 V8 motor in it and it runs super nice and has lots of power. Its all untouched other than the addition of a Flowmaster 2 chamber muffler, which gives this truck a nice throaty rumble. The factory SM 465 manual 4 speed, shifts perfect, the truck has a newer clutch in it and it feels great. The factory NP 208 part time transfer case was just serviced and it shifts in and out of 4 wheel drive effortlessly. The rear axle is the factory GM corp.14 bolt equipped with 3:73 gears and a factory locking device, it is in excellent condition. The front axle is the factory GM 10 bolt with factory manual locking hubs and it is also equipped with factory 3:73 gears, it is also in excellent condition. All other 4 wheel drive related equipment is in excellent working order. The suspension is all stock, other than the shocks. The truck rides perfect and has an excellent feel to it. The rims and tires are the factory installed 16 inch steel wheels complete with the factory hub caps, they are in excellent shape. The tires have good tread left on them and are in great shape. As you can see the exterior of the truck is in very nice original shape, the truck has all of its original sheet metal on it along with all original paint, I wonder how many 87 4x4's are left in the country in this kind of condition. There are a couple of minor scratches and scrapes and dings other than that the truck is very straight and beautiful. The inside of the bed is in excellent condition. We just installed a new windshield in it. The interior of the truck is in excellent condition, the original bench seat is in great shape, the drivers side vinyl has been replaced and feels nice and firm just like it did when the truck was new, the door panels are in excellent condition, the steering wheel is in excellent shape, the visors are very nice and the dash pad has one crack in it. We just replaced the original rubber floor mat with a new insulated black carpet kit for sound deadening purposes, this makes for a much quieter and more comfortable ride than the rubber floor mat. When we removed the rubber mat and inspected the floors, they literally looked like new and had perfect factory paint on them. We also just replaced the outer window weather striping that goes on the doors, they are new from GM ( $135.00 a pair ) All the lights and gauges work perfect. The truck has its original build sheet sticker in the glove box, as well as its original owners manual and warranty information card. There is an older Pioneer CD player in the truck and a pair of Pioneer door speakers. This truck starts right up and runs and drives excellent. This is truly a rare find in this type of original condition. The truck has never been abused and has been maintained regularly.
