Vehicle Detail
This item is being relisted. I don't want to sound like a jerk but only bidders from the U.S. will be accepted. This is a no reserve auction. You are looking at my 1970 Plymouth Barracuda SURVIVOR. The miles on the odometer are actual 64,438 on the original 318 paired with the original automatic transmission. The car is pretty neat and clean with all original interior. The front seat is torn but not trashed and the back seat appears to have rarely been sat in. I believe all the glass to be original but the drivers side glass is chipped on the edge near the top. All of the seat belts are in place and the shoulder straps appear to have never been removed from their place, neatly above the doors. She has factory power steering, 4 wheel drum brakes and ARA dealer installed AC. The AC does work, but has a freon leak. It originally came with single exhaust and a 2 barrel, but I installed an Edelbrock 4 barrel with dual exhaust and headers a few years ago. At that same time I replaced the hubcaps with aftermarket rally's. Rust is begining to show around the back glass and on the inside of the drivers side fender as pictured. Floor pans and trunk are solid. The 318 runs great, sounds great and is a blast to drive. We get lots and lots of compliments on the rare occasions my daughter and I take it for a cruise. The reality of this car is; I can vouch for the fact that this car has been garaged and kept under cover for the last 25 years. I believe in that 25 years she has had about 12,000 miles put on her. The radiator just began to leak and for the last couple of years, when the car is cold and put in reverse, the transmission slips a little. This only happens for a couple of minutes until it warms up. I would not be the least bit concerned with driving this car on a long road trip. I have done my best to accurately represent her flaws in the pictures. Garaged and taken care of, this car would last in her present condition for a long time and be a lot of fun with no shame in cruising her around. Until you get up for close inspection the car looks restored. The other option is that this is a great car for restoration or to build a clone out of. I believe you will be money ahead starting with a car in this condition than one that is completely trashed, rusted or missing parts.
