I purchased this unit a few weeks ago while in Arizona to be used as my personal vehicle. At that point in time, it had just 238 miles on it. Everything about it was new. Although the plastic on the door panels and seats have long since been removed, the Excursion sat indoors and was never used. I do not know all of the specifics regarding its history, but I can tell you from close visual inspection and driving the truck over 1,000 miles since then, everything about this truck is still new. From the under carriage that looks like it rolled off the assembly line to the full texture on the seats and steering wheel, you are buying as close to a brand new Ford Excursion as you will ever get. Now the question everyone will want to know..."Why are you selling it?". The answer is I have found another Ford Excursion with extremely short miles that is NOT black. I am just too obsessive compulsive to drive a black vehicle. Every finger print and every spec of dust just drives me crazy and living in dusty West Texas is NOT the place for a black vehicle if you are a fanatic like me. After sitting for close to six years, this Excursion was taken to the ford dealership to drain all fluids and go through a thorough inspection. The largest concern was fuel. The tank was dropped and cleaned, then after an oil change and all new filters the engine was started. I did have concerns about the engine and transmission, more with seals and gaskets. After much debate I drove the unit back to Texas. It performed flawless with NO problems. For close to 3 weeks the Excursion has sat on my lift in my shop, NO leaks, NO surprises. If you cannot do the math, this Excursion is 6 years old and NOT under any sort of warranty. Other than its 24 hour tour to Texas, it has not been used and remains indoors, like new in every way! Off course if you are a Ford Excursion fan like me(I have 4 of them) you know the last year for these truck was 2005. The most desirable of these trucks were the 7.3 Diesel, but 2003 was the last year for the 7.3. I personally love the 6.0 and know the Torq Shift Transmission cannot be beat. I know the limitations of the 6.0 but we are now to the point where just about any decent diesel technician can fix the 6.0 in their sleep. In fact only a few problems plague these diesel...EGR and injectors. Due to the EGR delete kits and the newer software updates, I would drive a 6.0 any day of the week and trust them with my family. Lets recap. This is a 2005 Ford Excursion that has seen the outside world in just the last few weeks. I think current miles are about 1,400. Please note the pics were taken in Arizona a few weeks ago, I did drive it back to Texas and it performed great. It is equipped with the popular Limited Package and the only real options were quad bucket seating, entertainment package(dvd and monitor), tow mirrors, and chrome steps. This Excursion has it all, and NO Ford NEVER offered a sunroof in an Excursion. The paint is all original, it has never been smoked in, has never had a person in any part of it other than the driver seat for more than a few minutes. There are NO disappointments, NONE!
