Vehicle Detail
Up for auction is a 1932 Ford Five Window coupe. It is an all steel car with a rolling chassis. There is no motor or transmission. The fenders are all steel, and I believe the rears and 1 front are Brookville, the other front is an original. The fenders are nice and straight. The running boards are driver quality and should be re-covered. It was a running and driving car, and I started to partially disassemble if for further restoration. I have a clean clear, 32 CPE Title in my name COLORADO. I was told it is a V8 title. NO MOTOR, OR TRANNY or related accessories!!! I am pulling it in the next day or two. This is a project can and is being sold and represented as such. For the right person, would be an easy quick build. Body: Needs a lot of work, but is a great foundation, for a good metal man... The body itself is still nice thick metal. The rear quarters have been replaced with a pair of roadster (Brookville) quarters that are just tacked together (I will let the new buyer finish them). The doors have some dents bust are reasonably straight... you may want to re skin them? The a pillar is tweaked on the passenger side and that is why the door is slightly off. The hinges need straightened and then the doors with align well. They do open and shut. It has working door latches and regulators. New felt kit and new glass are included. The cowl vent was filled with lead a long time ago. The top was also filled with a steel panel, and then filled with lead a long time ago. You can see the passenger side 1/4 window and lower reveal line needs some attention. The deck lid is original and in rust free straight, hinged working shape. Nice original windshield installed and working, again with new glass. The floor is a direct sheet metal floor. Tranny hump is set up for 3 pedals. Original Firewall was cut to accommodate a Small Block Chevy. 39 ford tear-drop lights wired and installed. Has a nice original gas tank and steel frame horns. I have the bumper brackets, but no bumpers. There is a lot of misc vintique pieces that you can see in the pics. It also has a nice bob drake grill shell and insert. The car comes with a nice original set of molding’s-all 5 windows, nice original windshield pillar moldings, and an original header panel that has some rust out. The garnishes could be chromed. I found a set of 1970 Camaro Bucket seats, that I'll thow in. I have a Bob drake windshield rubber for the car too. Chassis: Ohio street rods tig welded fully boxed frame, dropped super bell axle, all wheel disk brakes, narrowed Lincoln Versailles rear. Pete and jakes installed hydraulic clutch/brake setup, run and plumbed brakes with regulator and residual valves.. Chrome front reverse eye spring and steering rods, and chromed 4 bars. The rear is a painted triangulated with chromed aldan shocks. There is a provision for a hairpin installed on frame. Fenders are partially mounted on frame enough to drive it. There is a chromed dropped light bar, and chrome king bee lights. The steering is complete after the installed vega box. It has nice front and rear stainless spreaders. The wheels are polished american racing and new dunlop racing tires (400 miles on them) Wiring: there is a HAYWIRE wiring harness partially installed, to get the car running. The gauges are blue/green dolphins, again installed to get the car running. The dash is a steel truck dash that was cut down to fit. No Carpet, no seat, no engine and no transmission, no ignition system or alternator, and no fuel lines. Rear end is installed and working. No driveshaft or exhaust. No steering column/wheel/drop. This is a project car, and is reasonably complete, as far as the body and chassis go, The new owner can throw in your own driveline and drive it, and work the body as you go. The car does not come with a Motor or Tranny, or related accessories. If you need clarification on this, please call me. The frame is set up PROFESSIONALLY by Ohio rod shop, for a Small Block Chevy. The transmission cradle will fit a Chevy 350, 400 or Muncie. Again it has a clutch pedal in it. The inside of the decklid is as nice as the outside.. Once I have the motor/tranny pulled, I will post some pics. I would consider selling the body, fenders seperately....call 719-337-1491 with any questions/offers and no I do not want to trade. A 1000.00 deposit is required 24 hours from auction end. Sold as is, and you figure out your own shipping. I can also store the car for you. On Aug-16-11 at 11:52:09 PDT, seller added the following information: To anser a couple questions: Yes I can store the car if paid when paid in full. The radiator is included and is a very nice walker radiator. The wiring harness is included, it is a haywire 7 circuit. I do have a 79 chevy column and steering wheel for it too.
