Vehicle Detail
Referencing the NATIONAL AUTOMOBILE DEALERS ASSOCIATION" nadaguides.com web site, you will notice that a STOCK Jeep of this year and equipment (and low transport mileage) is retailed for close to $32,000.00. If your into or have had experience with buying or reviewing the price of the equipment on this Jeep you will see that the price is unbelievable for what the developer and I paid for. I'm sure most people know that vehicles developed for trade shows are not abused, but quite the opposite, they are pampered and babied to where they show and shine the very best. I personally have been to a number of trade shows. It amazes me how pristine everything is kept, even though you know what the 'offroad' stuff will eventually go through. This Jeep is like new, and the Jeeps noted in the nadaguides.com are driven by families and go through the normal wear and tear at the very minimum. A very large difference than the life my Jeep has been through. Therefore, if this information is taken into consideration by the new owner, they will realize that this Jeep is a deal of a life time. This Jeep was originally owned by a "Law Enforcement Rescue Development Company", located in Southern Florida. It was developed by a member of Law enforcement and his employees to meet the needs and reliability demanded by rescue and Law enforcement personnel because they could not find a company that was dependable for parts and the quality that the different rescue agencies needed throughout the country. This Jeep was bought 'sight unseen' by me, as I lived on the other side of the country and had it shipped out. I have had this Jeep for approximately 4 months. Just weeks after having the Jeep delivered, I attended the local Jeep Spring Fling. I wasn't really there to try and win anything, but rather to meet some of the local Jeep chapter members to go wheeling with. I ended up winning "Best in Class" for a 4-door JK, with over 100 Jeeps of all shapes and sizes in attendance. Needless to say I was grinning ear to ear. This Jeep was built with the very best of parts and equipment for reliability for Rescue and Law Enforcement. From what I can tell and have read, it came loaded with every option Jeep offered. The majority of the mileage on the Jeep is from traveling from different Rescue and Law Enforcement trade shows throughout the country (mostly highway miles). I personally have put about 1600 miles on it, taking it on two offroading events with the local Jeep club. It was a Beast on the trail, going anywhere and everywhere. Other Jeep convoys would literally stop and watch this Jeep on the trail navigating obstacles like they weren't even there. I was extremely impressed with the Jeep and looked forward to a lot of fun. Unfortunately, the wife wants to take up RV'ing with a 5th Wheel. I love my Jeep, but can't see owning both the Jeep and a 5th Wheel, which is the reason for selling this fantastic vehicle. Below I will try and note the special features and why the developer and friends have told me that the Jeep has at least $20,000 of additional modifications done to it. Below I will note the information I was provided and relied upon for the purchase of the vehicle. The mission was to retain the Jeep in a new condition and to retain the quality of the original look as much as possible. Whenever it was stored for an extended period by the previous owner, the jeep was started and moved inside the storage building numerous times to keep everything lubed and moving. The company that built the "Beast" maintained and cleaned it relentlessly for all the trade shows. It looks as though it is straight from the factory. Vehicle Description: This is a completely loaded 2008 4-door Jeep JK Rubicon with extensive after-market modifications. It was ordered for development for the sole purpose of meeting the needs and quality demanded by Rescue and Law Enforcement personnel. Noted below are a few of the features that are on the special Jeep, known as the "Beast". Three piece freedom top which can be removed with the large extra heavy duty roof rack in place.Automatic transmission. Some people might debate auto vs. manual transmission for hardcore off-roading; however, my personal opinion and the opinion of most JK owners on the enthusiast forums I frequent is that automatic is the ONLY way to go for serious 'offroad' rock climbing .Rubicon Package Including:Electronic Sway bar DisconnectElectronic Front and Rear LockersRock SlidersUnder Carriage Skid Plate'MyGig 20-gigabyte stereo with integrated navigation system and (unlike other wranglers), is bluetooth enabled and has the microphone to link to your phone. It also has the built in satellite system. This JK has the full 'power package with auto start, alarm, power windows and door locks', etc..Tow package.Front & Side-impact airbags. And much more I'm sure I am forgetting Some of the aftermarket items are listed below: Teraflex 4" 'Long-arm Suspension system. The ride this lift provides is absolutely incredible. It flexes like a professional offroad vehicle, then turns around and rides down the road smoother than stock.Teraflex Monster HD 'Track bar' is included in the rear. Teraflex rear dual Cardigan 1310 Drive Shaft was installed to handle the extreme articulation the suspension provides.Poison Spyder Stubby Brawler Lite Front Bumper w/ Brawler Bar As seen in the picture below, a light w/ blue plexiglass were installed behind the Spyder emblem to give the emblem a very cool glow. This can be turned off and on via a switch on the A-Pillar pod.RECON 10,500lb Waterproof Electric Winch w/ Synthetic Rope. I installed this myself. This winch has NEVER BEEN USED so it is in mint condition. The winch on it when I purchased it was hydraulic and I didn't really care for it or the look of it, hence the change. New tires were exchanged and installed at 2700 miles. They are BF Goodrich KM2 @ 37x12.5-17, including the spare. The wheels are 'Pro Comp 8179' cast aluminum alloy, 17x9 which includes the spare.'LOD' signature rear bumper with back up lights, anti sway spare tire carrier and two 'Gerry Can' carriers.A-Pillar Pod installed with four switches. Two activate the bumper Spyder light and the VisionX Light Bar. The other two are available for future modifications.Vision X 42" Xmitter bar. This lighting system is beyond description and by far the brightest light I have ever seen. The LIGHT BAR has 80 Three Watt LED lights with a Warranted Lifespan of continuous use of 29-years. It appeared to me to give off more light than a sunny day.The extra large roof rack (Wild Boar) is designed for removal of the roof panels (in place) and has all stainless steel fasteners.Special machining was required to mount the Vision Light Bar system and looks extremely professional and as though it was purchased as part of the roof rack.Locker modifications (lock up front and/or rear axles in any gear range). These switches can be seen to the right of the steering wheel. The stock Rubicon limits how the lockers can be engaged. This modification allows the front locker to be activated independently. It will also allow the lockers to be activated in 4-Hi, for possible situations such as "mudding".Extra large electrical system to meet all Law Enforcement standards. It's hard to describe the look and feel of this Jeep. I remember when I received it 'site unseen', I was calling VisionX USA to ask a couple of questions about the light bar. I had looked up their number via their website (www.visionxusa.com). While I was on hold, I was watching the pictures scroll across their webpage, when I suddenly was looking at a picture of my Jeep on their home page. It is still there to see. Apparently, they were so impressed with the Jeep and it had their lights on it, that they had a photo shoot done of it display on their homepage. And these are the same guys that supply lights for space rovers! I'm sure that I am overlooking some features. It was designed to have the best of quality and reliability as possible. The items that were legal only for Law Enforcement use have been removed and there are NO signs of any marks, holes or damage.
