Vehicle Detail
1974 MGB family owned since new. This car has been in South Carolina for 37 years and has been meticulously maintained and totally restored 8 years ago. Over $11,000 was spent during the restoration and absolutely every part was replaced or rebuilt with a factory part aside from the radio and rear axle. BMW Arctic white paint (NO BONDO, almost no body work needed before painted), 10k miles of original engine rebuilt, clutch, top, seat upholstery, batteries, wiring....everything. This car is very clean, sharp and original. The horn, lights, signals all perfect. The interior is a 10 out of 10. The exterior is 9.5 out of 10. I would re-chrome the bumpers otherwise it's hard to come up with anything else to do. "Mavus" is the car's name which you could change but she's been mavus since it rolled off the production line. This car drives straight, handles wonderfully due to new suspension and turns heads. I'm a car collector and this car is somewhere between too nice to drive and not quite show ready outside of your local car shows which it would win hands down. This is the cleanest representation of a vehicle from 74' as it has not been dented, scaped, beat up or modified. It's a cherry. The only thing this car has that it didn't come with is a pull out radio and two little storage pockets sewn into the kickplates for extra storage (very cool too). Spare tire and jack in tact, top doesn't leak a drop all I even threw in the parts catalog needed for anything down the road. I swear on the good book I would drive this car from the Carolinas to California on a moment's notice. I have owned 67 cars and it pains me to sell this but I have a 65 Chevy pick up that is several grand away from being perfect and I'm dedicated to fix this. Gentlemen, don't set this car aside for women or metro males as I've never felt more like James Bond then when I drive this car. Adult owned, family cared for! At 5'9" 185lbs, I have plenty of leg room left so this car would comfortably house nearly any sized person. I hate to make this request but please don't bid this car if you won't take care of it. It needs covered parking and someone who can continue to keep a vintage vehicle like this as nice as it is the day it is delivered. If you have zero feedback please email me prior to bidding. Thanks and best of luck!
