Vehicle Detail
Up for auction is my wife's 2003 Lincoln LS V-6 3.0 in good condition. I will sell to the highest bid. The deal must be completed within 48 hours of auction end, so please do not bid if you cannot do this. I have bought a new car and have no place to keep this one. We drive the car daily and it is very dependable. The AC is Ice Cold. Please look over the pictures carefully. I have uploaded high-resolution so you can zoom in. The car has newer brake pads and new plugs and coils. It starts right up and is quiet and comfortable. As with any used car that someone is selling, there are minor details. Here is what I know that you want to be aware of as a purchaser: Car runs great, starts right up, and has strong acceleration. I do not need to add any oil between changes, but there is a small oil leak that I have been told was a valve cover gasket. I had one replaced last year but did not do the other, and while it has not bothered me, you may want to do the maintenance. The difficult one under the manifold has been replaced and the remaining one is fully exposed in order to change it easily. The remote and locks all work great. The keyless entry works flawlessly. Cosmetically, people comment on how nice it is all of the time. It is hard to believe that a $4000 car can be seen as that awesome, but I am being honest. One guy heard I was selling it and said it must be worth around $20k, right? Valets also comment on how nice it is. I do think the color really helps. It is beige in general terms, but is more like a metallic cream and looks nice when cleaned up. I am not aware of any dents in the car. There are a couple of minor scrapes and paint chips that could be touched up. That only obvious one is next to the dealer-added trunk keylock. This is common on the LS as it seems like they cut the hole after painting the car and that allowed a small paint bubble to form. The interior is very nice with a fingertip sized puncture in the passenger seat (see photo) that has been glued but otherwise very nice and clean. Maintenance wise, the battery is newer. Oil changed every 5000 miles. I put on new tires 2 years ago, but it could definitely use new fronts. There is a slight vibration at 60-65 mph that is due to the tire wear. The rears are servicable, but I would just put on a set for smooth sailing. The stock tires are not expensive and can be bought on eBay very reasonably. It has been a low maintenance vehicle. Other than the plugs and coils, the only item I have had to repair was a catalytic converter last year, so that is new. In summary, this is a high-mileage used luxury car that is in nice but used condition. I would be comfortable driving it home and personally just drove it on a 500 mile trip. The new owner will be happy and for the price will be getting a bargain. Title is clear as the loan has been paid off and lien release is attached. Car is ready for you to start driving daily. On Aug-14-11 at 19:55:30 PDT, seller added the following information: Buy it Now is $3995.
