Vehicle Detail

Fully Restored 1966 Mustang GT Convrtible. A code Engine. Candy Apple Red (original color) This is a Ground up Fully restored original Mustang GT. It was a California car before its complete restoration in 1997 by "The Mustang Shop" in Duncanville Texas. The restoration was ordered and paid for by the person I bought the car from 2 years ago. I absolutely love this car but we are selling it for the great cause described below. This is the most beatiful 1966 mustang I have ever seen. I wrote a check for it 10 minutes after I first laid eyes on it. I had not even driven it before I paid for it but I knew enough about the owner to know how well this car was restored and maintained. It has 3587 miles since its rebuild in 1997 and that is what shows on the odometer. This car is not show car perfect but it is about as close as you can get and still be a driver. It is absolutely beautiful. There are a few very minor paint imperfections from being driven a little in the past 15 years. The chrome has aged a little on the insides of the front grill and around the small triagle windows. There is a minor scratching about 1 inch by 1 inch on the drivers window noticable only up close and very slight at best. Most all of the chrome including bumpers is shiny and beautiful. The interior is probably a 9.5 out of 10. Again there are some very minor imperfections. All of the restored interior parts are 100% authentic. The wood grain interior is authentic. The A/C is original an it runs ice cold with all of the fan controls working as well. The top is in great shape and is powered electric and works like it is brand new. Everything on the car inside and out was either fully restored or "correctly" replaced in 1997 at restoration. It has virtually every available option available in 1966. The only option available in 1966 that I have found not on this car is a two speed wiper setting. This car has a single speed wiper setting. The Rally pack (which was a dealer add on in 1966, NOT available from factory) functions like new, including Clock, Tachometer and backlighting. Fog lamps work perfectly and look great. The only non-correct item added to this car at restoration is a digital aftermarket MUSTANG radio with a powered antennae. It includes an auxillary wire for MP3 and I POD play. When turned off the digital screen disappears and it looks vintage. This car runs great and drives straight. It has a twin trumpet chrome exhaust that sounds really cool when started. The trunk is immaculate as well as under the hood. The only thing not replaced under the hood was the original block so the numbers match the frame. This car is the real deal and it turns every head within a hundred yards. I have much of the documentation, parts lists etc. from the "Mustang Shop" 1997 restoration. Title is clear. Now for the fun part. We are selling this car in order to pay for a fresh water well in the village of Matwate in the African country of Kenya. The good people of this village walk 5 miles every day to pick up enough fresh water to subsist for one day. Most of this water hauling is done by women and children. Since the children are needed to help carry water every day very few of them are able go to school and obtain even the most basic education. No school, No education, No opportunity, NO HOPE and the cycle continues. This one beautiful classic car will hopefully alter the future lives of thousands of children and their families for many years to come. It will also hopefully let them know that they are loved by both the one true God as well as their American brothers and sisters who were fortunate enough to be born in a country that affords opportunity like none else on earth. (like the opportunity to own a really cool and expensive old car) The methodist church has obtained a large tract of land next to this village and mission teams from our church in Greensboro (West Market Street United Methodist Church) have been traveling to this village for the past several years. Over the past several years funds have been raised and a small school built for the children. Plans are currently underway to enlarge the school to house more grades and also erect a church for the village. Our goal is to give this village a fresh water source of its very own so that all of the village and surrounding area children can spend there days getting an education instead of hauling water. Happy Bidding on this very special Classic American Car. Please only bid if you are a serious and feel free to email questions or comments. If you would like more information on our Mission Project in the village of Matwate, Kenya and the lives that will be changed as a result of this fresh water or would like to make a separate donation please let me know via email and Ill get you the contact information at West Market Street United Methodist Church in Greensboro NC. 100% of the proceeds from the sale of this car will be deposited directly with West Market Street United Methodist Church in Greensboro NC.
