Vehicle Detail

For auction I have my pride and joy a 1954 Chevy 210 2 dr sedan.I wanted to build my version of a rat rod. I wanted to take a nice original car and upgrade the running gear and leave the rest alone. I purchased this car in January of 2005 from a older gentleman in rust free original condition. His wife made him buy it when he retired to keep him amused and I guess he was ready to sell it. I was looking for a good candidate for a motor I had purchased while doing a prior project. This is a very solid car. There's been no rust repair ever. The floor pans still have the factory red oxide primer on them. The color is Bamuda Green with a Shoreline Beige top.The top still has the original paint and the green has been repainted quite a while ago. The paint shines good and looks good from about 20 feet but its single stage enamel and could use a repaint. It has the usual scratches, dings and chips as with any 57 year old car. I replaced the headliner 5 yrs ago and the front seat was redone in new old stock material 6 or 7 years ago the rest of the interior is original and very nice. Other than the bumpers the chrome and stainless is original to the car and in very good condition but there is a few small dings in the body side trim. The bumpers are Calif. one piece with fairly fresh plating. Now for the good stuff. The motor is a 1999 Corvette LS1 with about 21,000 miles, the flywheel,ZO6 clutch, pressure plate and throwout bearing were new GM items 9,000 miles ago and work fine. The 01 Trans Am transmission is a T56 6 speed with about 40,000 miles. There is a aluminum drive shaft from Inland Empire Driveline. The rear end is a Moser 12 bolt with a 3:73 gear and positraction and it has the 11 inch Ford brakes. It was purchased new 9,000 miles ago when I built the car.The rear springs are Posies and lower the car 3 inches then I added a 1 inch lowering block to make it a total of 4 inches. It has a Fatman stainless front end with dropped spindles, drilled and slotted rotors and a power steering rack. The front is probably lowered 5 to 6 inches it has the nice Calif. rake. It has a Be Cool Alumunum radiator and runs 180-195 degrees with a Cooling Components electric fan. The AC/ heating system is from Hot Rod Air and works very good. There are Dolphin gauges in a custom panel installed in the dash. All the guages work as they should. The speedo reads about 4 mph slower than your actually going. There is a Secret Audio system that works well. The steering column is a Ididit with what I believe is a early Corvette steering wheel. There are shortie headers that go into 2 1/2 inch exhaust with nice sounding Flow Master mufflers and the tailpipes exit behind the rear wheels. This car has a cool sound all of its own. The wheels are 17 x8 American Salt Flat Specials with 225-50-17 Michelin front tires and 225-60-17 Michelin rears. There are a few new parts and pieces that I accumulated over the years that come with the car if it sells. This is a nice running and driving Hot Rod that gets 26 mpg. It draws a lot of attention at the shows because its different. There is a clear title in my name and I will not release the car or the title until payment clears my bank.I will require a $1000,00 non refundable deposit within 48 hours of the auctions ending. I reserve the right to end the auction early because this car is for sale locally. The car is sold as is. I have discribed this car as accurately as I can. Please look at all pictures closely and if you have any questions you can email or call George at 423-772-3780 eves or 423-213-0170 days Eastern time. Thanks for looking and good luck.
