Vehicle Detail
1975 Porsche 911S Sunroof Coupe. This 911S is a numbers matching car and still has the 1975 special order Jade Green paint color. Absolutely beautiful. This car was delivered new at University Porsche Audi in Seattle, WA on February 28, 1975 and then sold to Mr. Donald Anderson of Allyn, WA. Mr. Anderson enjoyed the car for many years. As far as I can tell, after Mr. Anderson sold the car it remained a local car until I purchased it in 2003. I purchased the car with plans to do a complete restoration because of the remarkable shape that it was in considering it's age. There was absolutely no rust on the underside of the car, the floor plans, the longitudinals, or the battery box. When I disassembled the front fenders I found 2 small areas of rust on the inner fenders which I repaired. When I removed the front windshield I also found some rust damage on the lower pillars. That was also repaired. Overall, this car was in excellent shape for living it's life in Seattle. I believe it was garaged and well taken care of. I spent 3 1/2 years restoring the car. The engine was rebuilt to original specifications by Wolfsburg Motorwerks. The gear box was completely gone through by Walker's of Seattle. The paint and body work was performed by Tim Piecuch using the exact color match of Jade Green. As I stated before, this is a Special Order color and is rarely seen. The only other one I have seen is owned by Jerry Seinfeld. When the car was disassembled it was obvious that there had been no major damage to the body - just a few minor door dings. The interior has the original seats and the original carpet. The bolsters in the front seats have been re-upholstered but the felt inserts are original. The headliner has also been replaced. The original radio has been replaced with a Kenwood stereo and amp with Diamond Audio speakers. The Fuchs wheels were sent to California for complete restoration to the exact spec of that year. I am unsure of the exact mileage, the working odometer reads 54,307 miles. Since I have owned the car it has always been in a climate controlled garage and has never been driven in the rain. I have only put 2,000 miles on it since I bought it in 2003. As you can see in the pictures, this restoration is high quality. There was A LOT of attention to detail. The exterior trims are in excellent condition, the interior is in great shape considering most of the components are original to 1975. The car is a real joy to drive, it idles very well with the original fuel injection and has a lot of power. The suspension feels tight, it corners well. With the sunroof open you can really hear the sport exhaust when you're going through the gears. It's a great driving experience. I have the original Owner's Manual and what looks to be the original spare tire air compressor and jack. I DO NOT have the original tool kit. 2. I will include the maintenance records that I do have, I do not have them all. 3. In regards to the dash - I have replaced the dash with a new OEM dash, hard to find, looks great. 4. 2.7 Litre - This is a FANTASTIC Porsche motor. There were a few flaws through the years, especially when the new smog requirements came into effect. Those issues in this motor have been addressed. The motor was rebuilt in 2004 by Jack Morris of Wolfsburg Motorwerks in Seattle, Wa. The magnesium case was completely steam cleaned and checked for any kind of stress or cracks. It has been upgraded with case savers and also line honed. The crankshaft was checked for tolerance and measured well within the limits. It was then checked for cracks and balanced. Finally, it was polished. The motor has been upgraded with new piston liners - slightly over bored - and brand new JE pistons (superior to OEM). It has been upgraded with Chromali studs. Carrera chain tensioners have been added. SSI heat exchangers and sport exhaust. The motor over all looks completely stock besides the slightly over bore on the pistons. The new rebuild has approximately 2,000 miles on it.On Aug-15-11 at 20:31:09 PDT, seller added the following information:Please note that additional pictures have been added in reference to some of the questions I have received. The most common question that keeps coming up is would I be interested in offering a "Buy It Now" price. I intially wasn't interested but after MANY inquiries I have added a Buy It Now price for what I feel is a fair price for the car.On Aug-15-11 at 21:16:33 PDT, seller added the following information:I apologize, Ebay will not allow me to add a Buy It Now price because the auction has already started.
