Up for sale is this Gorgeous 1962 corvette Convertible C1. This car has a vast amount of historical significance and is also a very clean, well preserved piece for a collector and is the 1,467th corvette off the production line for that year. The manufacture location for this corvette was St. Louis, Missouri division sometime in mid October 1961.The interior is Vibrant Red with original color combination white top and red body. What makes this car so special and fascinating is the fact that this is an UN-restored vehicle and it is in this condition which is why i purchased it. the original owner of the corvette purchased it new on or around June of 1962 In the state Maine off a dealer show room. He was the original owner and had ownership of this corvette until 1964. In 1964 The second owner (who happens to be friends with the original owner) acquired the vehicle and owned it from the fall of 1964 until summer of 2009 when the vehicle was acquired. In the 45 years that the owner (previous to myself) had this car, the vehicle remained in a garage and was driven sporadically. the car moved from one state to another and wound up in Roscoe New York. The car was repainted in 1989 and a few cosmetic things were given some attention such as the carpets and the seats. The engine has been very well maintained, has NUMBERS MATCHING trans, engine and body ALL ORIGINAL. This car features the 327 340HP (Option in 1962)and the original T-10 four speed "BORG WARNER" (option in 1962). The car also features a 3:70 Posi-Trac Rear (option in 1962). The transmission was rebuilt in 2009 by Rock land Standard Gear in November. New Deluxe king Pin front end suspension was installed along with the top 2009. The Glass on this vehicle is entirely original including all moldings chrome and hardware. The tachometer is NOT original, the previous owner replaced it and it is the only Non original part on the car. The Tach is not connected at the moment; the speedometer works perfectly but sometimes doesn't register the speed it could be a loose wire. The Radio is ORIGINAL! has Wonder Bar radio and Clock! I have a folder filled with receipts and paper work of things serviced, parts that were replaced and information about the history of the car where it has been and who owned it. The exterior color is ROMAN RED This car sounds as good as it looks. There is NOT a speck of rust anywhere on the body, the fiberglass is in excellent condition, this car has won trophies at car shows. The interior is original.
