Vehicle Detail
We've decided to scale down our British bike collection. You are bidding on BOTH cubs and the misc. parts pictured. There is NO RESERVE. Top bid gets everything. We reserve the right to end this auction early. The 1967 cub (orange one) we've owned for 14 plus years. We never rode it. When we purchased the bike it smoked. Rebuilt the top end, and still smokes a bit. It's been stored ever since. To make sure it ran- we changed all the oils- put some gas in it and it started right up. Rode it about 2 miles. While it was running, I checked the oil tank and there was a good healthy flow of oil returning to the tank. For a vintage bike, it seems to have good power. The frame & engine #'s match T20 m 3340 (pictured). Problems - the carburetor, the idle is all over the place and the reason why, I discovered, is the carb slide is badly worn. It's drawing more air than it should. You'll notice a dent & small crack on the clutch cover - which makes it difficult to get the adjustment plug out of the cover, but you can get it out. It doesn't appear to leak. On the shifter, the guy we bought it from took it to a shop and had it pinned. The gas tank, notice the stain by the petcock. We've had gas in it for about a month and hasn't leaked out. I'm not up on cub engines but I hear tappet noise. ALSO 1959 cub. THERE IS NO TITLE--we've had it for 21 years, never started. As you can see in the pictures it needs a lot of the sheet metal. It sat in a warehouse in Spokane Washington for 20 years. It was seized when we bought it. The rings were slightly stuck but cleaned up easy and the gap was up to specs, the main bearing is sound. The clutch plates were seized together, we replaced them with Barnett plates. The muffler has a dime size rust hole in the bottom. The bracket that the muffler & foot peg bolts to is missing. The engine has good compression. Feel free to ask any questions. Shipping is buyers responibility,we can help load it on the truck. The parts & tires will need to be sent UPS, FEDX or USPS , we will box them up BUT again it's buyers responsibility to pay shipping. After purchase you can send shipping info. Nonrefundable deposit of $100 required within 48 hrs.
