You are bidding on a restored 1940 Model 75, four door sedan. This is a rust free car. The undercarriage of this car is immaculate. There is no way to prove the mileage on this car, but after spending many days cleaning and checking the undercarriage it appears to be all original, with absouletly no leaks coming from the engine, tranny, or the differential. There is no play in any of the front end parts, linkages etc. It is incredibly well preserved. It looks like it has under 20K miles. The door maintenance sticker dated 7-1953 shows the next scheduled oil change at 11K. The recommended oil change for this car was every 2K. This means the car had 9K miles in 1953, thats an average of 700 miles a year. By the time the car was decommissioned in the mid 60's it should have exactly what is showing on the speedo, 17K, that's my theory and judging by the condition under the car it certainly proves it. Everything works on the car. Turn signals work to perfection, brake lights, dash gauges, and radio all work well. The two small rear dome lights are inoperable. The main one in the middle works. The fold out bar behind the front seat is in excellent condition. The same year and model car at a recent Barrett-Jackson auction sold for $68,000.
