This 62 Galaxie 500XL is a nice, rare car that has a lot of originality still intact as well as some very nice upgrades. The car is running the original 390 V8 and original transmission. Original Fawn interior shows just how well the car has been cared for over the years. RARE bucket seats and NICE console. Painted approx. 2 years ago and has a custom painted metal flake roof. Rides on 18" Eagle wheels and tires. Custom installed CD without cutting the dash and looks very nice. New power brakes booster. Updated 1 wire alternator in original generator housing. Was drivien in the 2010 Hot Rod Power Tour. Nice newer exhaust. Side trim was removed and holes welded up. (do not have the trim) All glass is great. Any rust (very small spot) was addressed when car was painted. Solid floors. Lowered for the right stance. All chrome around windows is really nice! Nice solid car for a GREAT price!!! Things that it needs: Side of passenger seat is showing wear and will need a back rest cover. Power steering hose leaks. Headliner has a couple of repair spots. Bumpers are driver quality. Car occasionally will smoke after sitting, but still very driveable. I am selling the car for a friend. The car is being sold to fund another project. He has owned the car for the past 7-8 years.
