Suspension Added heavy duty leaf springs and Air-adjustatble Monroe shocks Tires Standard 14" Braking System Power braking system - Volkswagon vacuum pump, Designflex vacuum switch, 4" ABS plastic reservoir - system is set up on timer - have about 3-4 pumps before vacuum drops below 10Hg and pump comes on for 8 seconds to build the vacuum back up to 22Hg. Conversion time Just under 9 months. Finished the conversion in March 2010. Additional notes Have incorporated a battery monitor system into the dash to monitor the health of and status each specific battery. This vehicle does NOT include batteries. New owner must purchase and install a battery pack of his/ her choice. Also, battery cables are not included. The above pictures are of the battery pack I had in the truck. As stated before, the charger is configured for 20 Flooded lead acid golf cart batteries. Absolutely nothing wrong with this truck, as a matter of fact, this truck qualifies as my all-time favorite vehicle to drive. ONLY reason for selling is to help fund another EV. project. There is a minor ding in the passenger side door. The paint is a little faded and the clear coat is coming off in a few places. The heater works by raising the windows up and the ac works by lowering the windows down. Have about $6000 invested in truck and parts. Have a detailed parts list and have also extensive documentation of the build in pictures. Will include battery configuration schematic and electric vehicle circuit schematic.
