1972 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray Coupe #’S Matching 350 4-Speed Reasonable Rides and Rods presents this 1972 Corvette Stingray for your consideration. This little Sunflower Yellow Corvette is all number’s matching including the engine, trans, distributor and carb. The intake has been replaced with an Edelbrock Performer, but we have the original cast intake. The car was originally equipped with tilt/tele wheel, 4 wheel disc brakes, power steering and air conditioning. The air conditioning compressor has been removed. The original color is Sunflower Yellow with Saddle interior. As you can see, the interior has been converted to black. The car was totally repainted a couple of years ago the original Sunflower Yellow. The previous owner added the “Baldwin Motion” tail stripe when the car was painted. The paint quality is very good, but is not show quality. It has been garage kept, so it has a nice shine and shows nicely. I was told that it was a no-hit car, and I can find no evidence to the contrary. All seals were replaced when the car was painted. The chrome on the car is in great condition, including the bumpers, trim and door handles. Overall, it has a very nice presentation. As mentioned, the interior was originally Saddle, but has been converted to black. The interior is in great condition. The interior has new carpet, Al Knoch seat covers, new door panels and visors. The dash is in excellent condition and all of the gauges work with the exception of the clock. There is an aftermarket radio that is not connected, but an original radio can be installed as the hole has not been butchered. The t-top covers are in great shape. As mentioned, the car is equipped with the tilt/tele wheel option. The horn does work. Overall, the interior is very nice. The original #’s matching 350 has been rebuilt using a stroker kit. The engine is now a 383, but the partial vin stamping is in place on the block. The engine has less than 100 miles since the rebuild and runs great. The original transmission was also rebuilt and operates perfectly. A new clutch and pressure plate were installed when the drivetrain was installed in the car. The entire suspension has been rebuilt with poly bushings. All new steering components were installed when the suspension was rebuilt. The rear suspension has all new bushings, and the driveshaft and half-shafts have been bead blasted and painted. All new u-joints were installed. The front brakes are all new and include new ceramic coated calipers. The rear brakes are also new but utilize the original calipers. The car tracks straight and drives extremely well. While not power brakes, it stops great with the 4-wheel discs. The tire and wheel combination consists of the original rally wheels and brand new BF Goodrich TA Radials. The tires have less than 10 miles on them. Overall, this is a very nice little Corvette. I would consider the car not restored, but very nicely refurbished. Just about everything has been replaced on the car, so it is a really nice quality car. It starts right up, drives and stops great, and everything works on the car. All lights work, headlights go up and down, wipers work, and it has no leaks, noises or problems. The car is a great driver quality car that can be enjoyed immediately. This car is being sold as-is.
