Hey Bidders, Up for auction is a 1996 Geo Tracker. This is a one of a kind car! I'd classify it as half Jurassic Park Jeep and half Beach Cruiser. Some things I really like about this car is one of the most panoramic vehicles I've ever been in with virtually no blind spots. Additionally, for normal driving I use two wheel drive and get about 22/23 MPG on average. But in snow/sand/mud you can easily switch it to four wheel drive by shifting a lever inside the car and turning a switch from the unlocked to locked position on each of the front wheels. Another feature I like is that it has a big truck/hatch where you can store things. The back seats fold down and I've throw big items back there suck as dressers, bikes, and desks. It also has a high verticle clearance unlike hatchback cars so you can fit even MORE inside. I've had this car for about 4 years, and I think my mom had it for around 4-5years before I had it, and I'm not sure who had it before that. Recently I purchased a new car because this cars condition has deteriorated some. About a month ago the car started making a rattling/knocking noise, I thought it was the exhaust so I had a brand new exhaust system installed. However, I still hear the rattling, I'm not a car person, but my mechanic said it is probably an issue with the motor. Since this problem has come about the car tends to stall out if stopped at a red light for a long time and it doesn't accellerate as well as it used to. Up until this issue the car has ran great, and since I have been the owner I have maintained it on schedule perfectly. All tires, breaks, etc have been replaced in the past year or so. The AC was also recharged and blows cold! Also the vehicle was upgraded and now has a CD player, iPod adapter/charger and new speakers. Some other things you should be aware of, but that don't affect the cars driving ability are that the check engine light is on. It has been on for around 7 years I'd say. It hasn't been any issue, and when inspection time comes around you can reset the computer and get it through. It has been inspected regularly and inspection expires 8/15/11. Also the car has some minor dings on the front left/middle and right rear bumpers. The defrost and window washer shooters do not work as good as I would like also. All door locks and windows are manual and they all work fine. The truck opens and closes perfectly fine, but if you lock it then it will stay locked. I have kept it unlocked and not had a problem. There is no rust on the car. The interior is in good condition with no damage. The car was driven by a non-smoker so there is no smoke damage or smell. This car has been good to me, and I hope this is just a simple problem with the car that someone can fix easily and continue to use the car for years. If I knew more about cars I would probably try and fix it, but to someone who knows a lot you can probably get yourself a good car. I am disclosing every known issue with so PLEASE let me know if you have any questions or would like me to elaborate on anything. This car is in as is condition and sorry no refunds.
