1966 Volkswagen bus walk through classic Well I'm sure no expert on Volkswagen busse's, but this one, came my way, V.I.A. a friend, who's neighbor had it in his garage, for the last 35 years. (put away in 1976). I believe he bought it new, and drove it for 10 years, and put just over 100,000 miles on it. He pulled the engine and was going to overhaul it. (but never got around to it). It is what I call a "barn find" First let me list the minuses as I see them. I can only give you a bill of sale, as the original owner died over 10 years ago. (it was purchased from his family). It has several dents, and dings, and the only rust I can find, is right where your feet go, and it's really not to bad. It has had a roof vent installed in the rear. Now all that having been said, it's a very restorable, almost 100% rust free 1966 v.w bus, which is getting kind of hard to find. It is 45 years old, and I am selling it as -is. I would much rather you plan or the worst, and hope for the best, than be disappointed in anyway. There are several boxes off parts (lights,bezels,trim,etc,as well as the original engine and related parts). My opening bid is 2500.00 with no reserve. Of all the items this bus may need... rust repair is not big on the list. I honestly can not imagine finding a more original, mostly complete, and very un-molested v.w. bus like this for the price. It's sure not perfect but I have a feeling that the winning bidder, will be very pleased with it. Term of sale I can not ship..... This means I can not crate, box, disassemble, or deliver to a shipping company. I will however be more than happy to assist your shipper, however I can. A $250.00 non-refundable PayPal deposit is due within 48 hours of the auctions end. The balance is due via bank/certified check, or cash in person within 7 days of the auctions end.
