Vehicle Detail
CLEAN 1970 CADILLAC CALAIS SEDAN (Postless). 33K Original Miles. Gold Exterior/Interior. I purchased on October 2008 - I never registered the car. Only things done to care: oil change/plugs/wires/air filter/new battery/carb rebuilt. The paint has been buffed out the paint as it was extremely dull (~80% original) - and it now shines well. Car has no A/C. It has Power windows, bench seat and auto dimming. AM/FM radio. This was an Oregon car (purchased from Kerns Motor Co. in Corvallis, Oregon -delivered to Anna Luther on 1/29/70. I purchased from a dealer in NY -who purchased from son of original owner. According to dealer - son had registered it briefly in NY in 2008 and put on new tires and replaced muffler(muffler & tires look new). Exterior: Gold - ~80% original paint. Rear quarters were re-painted at some point (in certain light/angle can see very slight difference in shade - assuming as newer paint). I went along the car (where painted) with a magnet and could not conclude if any body work was done. There are several scratches (in pictures) where someone looked like they used an off color touch up paint (might be able to buff out .Also -- minor "buff" burn near chrome trim on hood. Chrome is excellent all around. Interior: Gold -no rips or wear . Very clean. Original front floor mat. Power seat/windows work well. Radio turns on - faint sound - I think the speakers need to be replaced (dry rot/original) - which I never got around to. The rear headliner - rust stains on either side - at some point assuming there was a condensation issue(not since I have had the car)-as the rust is higher than where the top of the window is -so not sure how water moved. Might be able to be scrubbed off? Mechanical: One pump of gas pedal and starts right up (even in the extreme cold when I start it weekly). No leaks (mains seal or otherwise). Clean engine compartment. Any questions - give me a call @ 617-592-0998 I
