1988 Lotus Esprit Turbo S3. Calypso red body, new Falken tires and refurbished OZ wheels. Beautiful medium tan and light tan leather interior with tan carpeting. Fantastic New Momo leather steering wheel and Nardi shift grip. Open back tailgate, black instrument masks, removable color keyed roof panel. Powered by a 2.2L fuel injected, DOHC 16V Turbo with a 5-speed manual transmission. I purchased this car to restore and enjoy, I no longer have the time due to starting a new company. This is a good vehicle that requires the fuel cells to be sealed, (common Esprit problem). Vent tubing replaced, new fuel pump and minor wiring repair to run and enjoy! Ultimately it could use, some bodywork, a paint job; some interior work and a complete once over if you want to use this car to its fullest extent (please see the accompanying pictures). This car should be purchased by an individual familiar with the Lotus Esprit! As any European Exotic car (especially British), they have their little quirks, but are well worth the investment in time and effort– If you have it! The Esprit is priced to sell as is. The items wrong with the car are very common for the Esprit and it just needs the right home and a little TLC. I feel privilege to have owned (3) different Esprit’s in the past; you will not find a finer automobile with better performance for the money – PERIOD. Basic Car: Chassis, Engine & Transmission - Fair to Good / Body Work, Paint, Interior, Wiring - Fair to Poor. Please see attached pictures. Note: This car was in a front passenger side accident by the previous owner and the body work is of poor quality. This car was previously rebuilt. Rear - independent, upper and lower transverse link with radius arms, coil springs, telescopic dampers. Brakes: Front l0.1inch ventilated discs. Rear l0.8 inch discs. Performance: Maximum Speed – 154+ MPH - Acceleration - 0 to 60 in 5.4 Seconds. Interior: Medium tan with light tan accents, tan carpeting.
