What I have is a 1991 Volkswagen Jetta Diesel GL with the 1.6L engine. It has very low miles for its age at 58,225. It had been sitting for several years before I found it. It had a couple of issues that have since been resolved. It would not start beacuse the fuel pump seal was bad. That has since been replaced along with the timing belt, front main, cam seals, idler tensioner and v-belts. Serviced with synthetic oil. It also has a brand new battery, fuel filter, new wiper blades, new shift linkages, updated Dual HD stereo with I-pod controls + remote, new 5 1/4" pioneer 2 way speakers in the doors and custom fitted new sony explod 6 1/2 4way speakers in the back kick pannel. The air conditioner has just been charged with 134A and will freeze you out, even in our hot southern climate. Gas milage and power does suffer though. It also has brand new 195/60/14 Douglas tires with less than 5,000 miles on them. I have also repainted the wheels with silver metallic paint and sealed with clear. It really helps with the appearence. I removed the wheel trim rings because I think it looks better without them. They will be included with the car. It has a brand new starter also. The old starter solenoid stuck and ended up burning out the starter switch on the column, so I ran a new push button switch on the dash. The back door and rear windows have been tinted with 5% tint. I did not tint the front because 5% is not legal in my state. The pre cut tint for the front door windows will be included also. It has a new muffler as well. The interior is in excellent shape except for the cracks in the dash. The carpet and seats look great as they should for a car with such little original miles. The paint is in fair condition. It does shine well on the sides but is a little oxidized on the top parts of the car. It does have a little bit of hail damage and it looks like a kid took a b-b gun to the passenger side. It is also going to need a front windshield and need the side view mirror glass replaced. It has no rust except for where some of the paint has been chipped off. No bubbling in the paint from rust and the underbody and all of the panels are solid. This car has spent its entire life in a dry hot climate away from the coast so rust is not an issue. The engine and transmission perform as they should with no issues. It gets great gas mileage at over 40 mpg on the highway and still gets around 30 in the city. That is if you do not run the A/C. I wish I could keep the car, but like many of us, I need the money more than I need the car. This would be a great car for a high school kid or just a good work car.
