Vehicle Detail
Here is our 2002 Hyundai Accent GS. Wife and I bought it new in May of 02 and have had it all accross the US. It has been the best little car ever. When we first bought it I could not stand the looks of it so I bought 15" wheels for it along with a "Talon" body kit from Australia and it transformed the looks of the car. We even have received many compliments believe it or not. The only thing it no longer has the front spoiler, wife busted it off pulling into our drive and hit the end curb. I also replaced the front fascia with the Canadian version so I could have factory fog lights. (not avail. in the US) I also added side marker lights from the Aussie version as well. And I even replaced the air intake with a real carbon fiber ram air induction. (tuners take note). Now the car is equipped with pwr. windows, pwr steering and brakes, COLD ac, rear wiper, and factory cd player. Tires were just replaced a couple months ago. Ever since my first oil change I have always used Mobil 1 synthetic and it does not smoke, leak or burn any oil out of the 1.6 litre. I have tons of paperwork, reciepts, original window sticker and books. Car drives great doesn't pull to either side and brakes are good. The body is starting to show its age, getting a little rust around the rear wheel wells and the paint still shines great. Some of the clear is coming off of the mouldings though. Now a couple of months ago the tranny started to act up in the overdrive, kincking in and out and caused a check engine light to come on. Had it checked out and the tranny shop told me the the 4th gear servo was going out and we never fixed it but still runs down the highway no problem without the O/D and that is how we've been driving it. We average around 30 mpg so it's very economical. We finally decided to buy a new car and is why we are now selling her. Even if you don't buy this one I highly reconmend buying a Hyundai product. Well worth the money. I did buy a HID headlight kit (not the cheap kit) but never installed it and will throw it in. Thanks for looking. If anyone would like to call feel free at 309-846-3496. I will also accept a best offer as well.
