2001 Ford Explorer XLT - 4x4 - 6 Cyl. Engine - 181,403 Miles Runs fine - no noises, smoking or leaks. Strong tranny - no slippage or leaks. AC is cold. Tires are fair to good, and the brakes feel fine (I did not pull a wheel to check the brake lining thickness). Driver side window does not work. There is a used window regulator that goes with the truck (as pictured). Drive it home. Runs nice. The "Check Engine" light was on, and after the scan was performed it showed a loose gas cap. This truck is going to the highest bidder in "As Is" condition. No Reserve! No Buy It Now! The interior is good and the body has a sideswipe on the passenger rear. This truck will not pass inspection in NY State because the onboard computer needs to reset after scanning the "Check Engine" light. This means driving the truck possibly 100's of miles in order to accomplish this. I do not have the time or inclination to do this and besides, I did not check the brake linings or put the truck in the air for any other examination. It does drive well, but I cannot give any guarantees or warranties once the vehicle is removed. The hood does not stay up on it's own - needs hood pistons. Because this vehicle does not pass inspection... New York residents are unable to bid or buy unless they are a registered car dealer, registering/re-titling the vehicle out of state or are using it for “Parts Only”. As a registered NY State dealer I am unable to sell a car that won’t pass inspection to a NY State resident. Anyone else can bid and buy.
