This is a 1966 Plymouth Valiant Signet convertible. It has the original 273 cubic inch V8 with a 3 speed transmission on the steering column. The car was originally sold in New Mexico. I purchased it in Austin Texas in 1986. I pulled the motor and had it completely rebuilt at that time, then drove it for about a year in California. I then went off to medical school and the car has unfortunately been parked since then. I had it shipped to West Virginia a few years ago and it has continued to sit. I always wanted to restore the car, but never had the time and have gradually come to realize that I never will. The motor runs well. The brake hydraulics are shot so that it can not really be driven safely now. The car is completely original except for the cloth seats. There is some surface rust, but no rot. It has never been driven in winter where salt was used. The convertible top works, but needs replaced. I purchased a new white top for it in '86 but never put it on. That is included. The original radio is gone. The original spare and jack are in the trunk. I have an original service manuel for it along with some original sales material. The paint is original. It has a few small dents. I always loved this car and hate like heck to have to sell it. It would make someone a nice project car with the final result a nice funky 60's convertible.
