You are bidding on a 1991 Nissan 240SX 5-speed fastback. I am the car's original owner, a non-smoker, and have kept it very well maintained over the years. The car is very clean, mechanically sound and still runs well. I have tried to itemize all of the dings, scratches, leaks, etc. below. The most noteworthy problem with the car is that the A/C system is not working. While driviing one day, one of the aluminum refrigerant lines cracked and refrigerant gas came spewing out from under the hood. I immediately shut off the A/C and haven't run it since, so the compressor should still be fine. The cracked line needs to be repaired and system recharged. The interior is in nice condition as can be seen in the photos. The dashboard has no cuts or cracks. Aside from a few light stains, the upholstery is in great shape too. The driver seat backrest has worn through near the door, so I covered both front seats with new matching seatcovers. The CD Player/AM-FM-stereo is aftermarket Alpine and still works fine. The odometer stopped working in May 1999 (88,908 miles) and was replaced by the dealership. In the photos, you can see where the dealer engraved 88,908 on the VIN plates when it was replaced. The combined mileage (old odometer + new) is 162,486 mi. The car has never been in an accident and would make a great restoration project for someone who can tackle some light body work, paint refinishing and replace some seals and hoses. Features: Automatic seatbelts - both still work Retractable headlights - both still work Window wiper/washer - both wipers and pumps still work New distributor cap, rotor and plugs (Dec, 2008, 65,592 miles on new odometer), New battery (Sept 2010) New brake pads, front and back. New rotors on front wheels, rear rotors were turned. (Oct 2010, 72,361 miles on new odometer) Four Bridgestone tires are fairly new, as can be seen from photo of tire tread. All four tires were purchased at same time. Known concerns: Air Conditioner has cracked refrigerant line. Needs to have line repaired and system recharged. Compressor should be fine (no guarantees) because it has not been run since system losts its freon charge. Power steering leaking. Have to periodically top off. One or more oil seals leaking. Nothing major, but leaves some oil stains on driveway. I suspect some hot oil slung from the fan belt is what caused the cold A/C refrigerant line to fracture. Miscellaneous dings and small dents and paint oxidation can be seen in the photos. In one of the photos, can see a location where fiberglass in front passenger wheel well is slightly fractured. Roof of car has been re-painted in last year due to paint oxidation only (not rust). Rear Passenger quarter window tint has some bubbles (see photo). Rear hatch may need new seal, since have noticed dampness on rear seat after a heavy rain. The original timing chain is still in the vehicle. Haven't had any problems with timing, but probably about time to have it replaced. Think that is about it. It has been a terrific, fun and reliable car - has only been in the shop once or twice in it's lifetime for mechanical repair. Hate to part with it, but recently got a new car and don't want to have to insure 3 vehicles. Happy bidding!
