Vehicle Detail
1969 Mustang Grande Coupe Restomod built for "Street/Strip" use. 100% RUST FREE: This beautiful dark metallic gray with ghosted back Shelby stripes Mustang was built with a Ford roller-cam 351 Windsor stroker engine (est. HP: >400) with the following equipment:Comp Cams Roller Cam (specifications not know, other than custom grind)World Products Sr. Competition Cylinder HeadsEdlelbrock Air Gap IntakeBiggs Racing CarbThermal wrapped HeadersMarch Systems custom bracketsAluminum heavy duty multi-core radiator w/electronic cooling fanHolley electronic fuel pump and pressure regulator systemMSD Ignition sytem with rev limitor2.5" Flowmaster dual exhaust system Additionally, the car has a Hurst shifted 4-speed manual toploader transmission, and a 9 inch posi rear end, with aftermarket racing dreveshaft, custom traction control link and aftermarket racing axles, and 3.89:1 gears. The suspension has been completely updated, to include oversized sway bars and additional rear sway bar, heavy duty front springs, and the car features both power steering as well as disc brakes up front. This car is an original factory A/C car (although it has been subsequently removed). The car comes with very nice 15" Centerline Racing with BFG P275 Drag Radials in back, and BFG Radial TAs up front. This is a laser straight car, zero rust car (floorboards replaced during comprehensive recent restoration) with exceptional attention to detail on the bodywork and updercarriage. Fenderwell and underhood components have been powdercoated, as well as wheel houses in the trunk. I've taken this car on a lot of local cruises, as well as a few passes at the drag strip, and it is extremely reliable, never hessitating to fire up, or show the least sign of overheating. The addition of the thermal wrapping on the headers, and additional heat insulation added to the floorboards makes the car enjoyable to drive regardless of the weather. It will run high 12s @ 115MPH in the quarter mile, and still comfortably cruise to the local car show. The only reason I'm selling it is to finish another long-term project car I've been working on. Located in SE Michigan, very close access to I-94, and I have taken the car on long-distance runs, over 250 miles, so I would prefer buyer pick-up.
