Up for auction is my 1977 vw bus that I hate to sell but out of room and can't have 2. I bought this last year as a barn find ( still does have some musty smell but a few day open in the sun should get rid of it, I had a cover on it since last year)and was told it ran when parked ( as they all say) he also told me the starter was of need of change. I have not tried to drain the gas and replace the starter yet. I have hooked a battery up and it just clicks. All the lights work as the wipers. I have 2 other aircooled projects and do not have the time or space for this one. Bus will have to be trailered and doe NOT run. It has a metal crank back sunroof that the cables need repaired and seal replaced. It needs tires, The body is pretty solide and the all the heater parts underneath seems all there. Normal rust around bottom of doors, battery box and step plates. Rust on roof seems to be just surface. I has the 2.0 aircooled FI engine in it. Might have some mods to it but looks mostly stock but does have an EMPI muffler that will problably need replaced. No guarantees and being sold as is. The bus is complete and I an just trying to get what I have in it back. This would be a great project for a father son/ I love my other one and hate to see this one sit around or get parted out.
