Vehicle Detail
Hello everyone, Henrik here from GM Truck Center in beautiful downtown Burbank, CA. Home of world famous 4x4's. Keep an eye out for our upcoming TV appearance on Top Gear America, on the History channel. Now about the truck...... I am relisting this International, due to a non paying bidder ( ebay id sanford3g out of New York ), happens sometimes on Ebay what can one do? You are looking at pictures of a very rare 1976 International Scout Traveler, this is a very original truck with original paint and original blue and Yellow CA plates on it. The odometer reads 25169, we are assuming thats it 125169. The truck has its original 345 V8 motor in it and it runs great, and starts righ up with no smoking or weird noises. Everything under the hood is untouched including all the factory A/C equipment. All the factory decals are still intact under the hood, as well as the factory build date on the firewall. The transmission is the original 4 speed manual, it also shifts perfect through all the gears including reverse. The transfer case is also the original unit and it shifts in and out of 4 wheel drive easily. This Traveler has factory DANA 44 axles front and rear, the front axle has factory disc brakes, and the rear axle is equipped with a factory rear locker, the original glove box sticker confirms the rear locker. All other related 4 wheel drive equipment is in great working condition. The suspension is in good shape and the truck goes down the road nicely. The Scout will need tires. The truck has a pair of aftermarket fuel tanks on either side of the truck, they are tucked up under the body, they seem to plummed in and working. The exterior of the Traveler is in good straight shape, it does have a little rust but all of it is in easily repairable areas. The floors are in good shape, the rear portion of the bed has a little surface rust and a couple of small holes, otherwise its solid. The door jams are exceptionally clean and have the factory tags on them. The interior is in original condition, the truck has its original split front bench seat, and folding rear seat. All original glove box stickers are still in tact and in good shape, the original owners manual is also in the glove box. The top is in good overall shape. The Scout has custom made bumpers front and back and the front bumper has a Ramsey 8000lb winch on it along with some lights, the controller to the winch is missing but it does work and the two bigger lights on the light bar are wired and in working condition. I think that just about covers everything, if you need more info feel free to call or email me at any time.
