Greetings! You are looking at a 2003 Jaguar XJ8 Super V8… this is a rare car indeed! Generally, only a true Jaguar enthusiast can identify what is so unique about a Super V8! More often than not words cannot explain, for a Super V8 must be experienced. To start, this was Jaguar’s flagship car… the crème de la crème! There were NO options for this car as it came standard with everything. The true beauty of the Super V8 is its combination of the absolute best that Jaguar has to offer. The body of the stretched extended wheelbase XJ8 (117.9 inches vs. 113 inches), coupled with the ultra luxurious interior appointments of the Vanden Plas, combined with the raw power of the XJR. Throw in every possible option Jaguar had in 2003 and BAM! You get the Super V8. This particular Jaguar Super V8 is spectacular! The beautiful silver finish is nearly flawless with no dings and very, very few blemishes in its very glossy paint. The car has been very well cared for, but alas even with the best care the random nick does appear. Nothing of noticeable concern, but a chip here and there; visible only at 6 inches from the car’s paint. This includes a few rock chips in the front and a small scratch on the rear bumper. While this car has 129,000 miles… you would never know and it certainly is NOT showing age. Inside, nothing shy of gorgeous! The sable black supple leather seats are soft and luxurious and trimmed with a contrasting light grey piping. The seats are free from rips, tears or any unsightly blemishes. The driver’s seat shows only the slightest evidence of any wear, but will still best the seats of any two-year old car. The Vanden Plas interior ensures only the finest premium grade ‘Connolly’ leathers (same as those found in Rolls Royce), beautiful polished inlaid Peruvian boxwood and burl walnut wood trim, a polished walnut wood and leather-wrapped steering wheel (the car features a power tilting and telescoping steering column), polished walnut wood gear shifter and luxuriously soft lamb’s wool carpets (there is a wear spot on the driver’s front floor mat). All of the usual and customary accoutrements are found on this beautiful Jaguar. Rain sensing wipers, one touch astro-roof opening, auto-diming review mirror, rear parking assistance, side airbags, audio and cruise control functions on the steering wheel, trip computer and message center. The front seats are heated, power adjustable with 10 way positioning plus 2 way power lumbar controls. The driver’s seat has a three position memory control. There are controls located in the back seat to allow the person in the rear passenger seat to adjust the front passenger seat fore and aft in the event you are chauffeuring an NBA all-star. Fear not, the average adults seated in the heated sculptured rear seats have plenty of room to cross their legs. In addition, the wider rear doors open to an almost 90 degree angle to allow for ease of entry and exit. Another exquisite touch for the rear passengers is the fold down inlaid Peruvian boxwood and burl walnut writing tables (or picnic tables) that fold out from the front seatbacks. There are dual rear sun blinds to shade your rear passengers as well. The audio system is quite amazing for an unmolested factory setup. It is a nine speaker (8 speakers + subwoofer) 320 watt Alpine premium sound system with a 6 disk CD changer. The audio system features an integrated DVD based navigation system with turn-by-turn voice instruction. The controls in the center console are easy to understand and operate which includes the passenger climate control, radio, CD changer and navigation system. Truly, everything in this car is designed to ensure nothing unpleasant will ever encroach upon your discerning senses. The car’s interior has never been spoiled but rather still smells of fine leather furniture. The car is an absolute pleasure to drive and is exceptionally adept on all kinds of roads from bumpy country lanes to fast traveling on Motorways. This is attributed to its touring-tuned version of Jaguar’s Computer Active Technology Suspension (CATS). A two-stage adaptive ride control system, CATS automatically selects "firm" or "soft" damper settings in response to road conditions and driving dynamics. The passenger cabin is super quiet and a pleasure to be in. Long journeys are a doddle in this car as it smoothly and quietly eats away the miles. The Super V8’s supercharged 4.0-liter V8 engine is as smooth as silk and a real powerhouse that produces a tremendous 370 hp @ 6150 rpm and has a whopping 372 lb.-ft. of torque at just 3,600 rpm. All of this power provides a zero to 60mph acceleration in just 5.5 seconds. Highlights of its design include an incredibly light yet rigid aluminum cylinder block, four overhead camshafts, a race-inspired aluminum casting process for its cylinder heads and a world-class engine management system. It is an engine renowned for its broad delivery of the torque it produces with 80 percent of its maximum from just 1,500 rpm. The real beauty is how the engine is incredibly responsive through all of the gears, which allows the car to accelerate at an unbelievable pace from any speed! The power is truly breathtaking! This car performs wonderfully!!! There are no mechanical issues, the car’s engine, transmission, and suspension are all functioning properly! The care received new front brakes within the last 5,000 miles and work perfectly. There are no warning lights, creaks or smells.
