Up for auction here is a 1976 triumph T 140 Bonneville 750 cc oil in frame bobber. Selling for a friend of mine..here is the description he has provided: This bike was built by Chadwell Metal Works a locally owned welding shop here in beautiful garden city beach? I acquired this bike 16 months ago and have done some work myself including recent items such as a new rear tire, bearings, new chain, new rear brake pads and brake line. The rear brake is a disc orig for the year, no front brakes, blinkers or speedo. A true bobber look. Completely re-wired with a new rectifier. There are only 2 lights ,all new throttle cables, clutch cables ,a new front avon speed master tire, new 21 inch powder coated black rim with new spokes that were powder coated patina(rust color), New black header wrap . a new clutch , 2 new 950 concentric amal carbs , a recent service, valve adjustment, proffessionally done by a motorcycle mechanic .. This bike runs great,sounds good! it does leak a little oil as all Triumphs do . This bike has a foot shift and a suicide shift. No battery as it runs off a magneto. It turns a lot of heads. The hard tail section is custom built and welded on . Custom fabricated bars ,gas tank. John Deer seat with 1 year old leather ,its finally starting to age. A 1946 ford tail light, model a spare tire holder for the rear fender. The head light has a visor on it for a true old look, The bike has a small tool holder under the seat and a small leather bag under the head light. The frame is flat black while the rest of the bike is patina in color (rust color). Matching numbers engine and frame. Buyer is responsible for shipping or picking up Motorcycle.
