I am selling my 77RS of which I am the second owner since 1983. It has been a great ride over the years and I have toured many areas of the U.S. without a problem. Have too much going on and too many motorcycles to justify keeping her any longer. However, I am not hard up for money so it either sells within the range I am asking or I am keeping it. Would like to see it go to a good BMW enthusiast who will enjoy it for years to come! Price is within the range of what I have seen bid on the few of these available over the past 6 months in similar condition, SO please dont ask what I will take for it. Anywhere at or above my starting price is what I am asking. Bike has both seats and currently has the solo seat attached as shown in the pics. It is not a pristine collector example, rather a very clean rider. The solo seat is missing the left side decorative black cover as shown in the pics. I would rate it a 7 out of 10. Modifications include dual plug conversion and electronic ignition, progressive front springs, Ohlins rear shocks and a deep oil pan. Runs like a top and has been stored in a climate controlled garage/workshop/man cave. I recently replaced the wheel bearings (just to be on the safe side before a trip to the smokies 2 years ago). I have also replaced the brake pads, petcocks and serviced the carbs with new floats and gaskets, new engine fluids and is ready to go. There are a few cosmetic parts that could be replaced or repaired, mainly the rubber bellows that go between the fork tubes and the front fairing. Also, the clock is not working. There are several parts that will go with the bike: 2 up seat Multivario tank bag Front fork brace (needs to be bead blasted and powder coated) a couple of extra side covers, one new in the package primed but not painted Soft tank cover Bike cover A few other odds and ends shown in the pics including the old battery box frame (put in a new one a few years ago) Buyer must line up their own shipping or transportation if outside of MN, WI, ND,SD or IA. I will consider deliver for the price of fuel with my trailer if you live in those listed states. I will be very flexible regarding timelines of delivery/shipping. I do travel for business and will be unavailable from July 25th-29th. Hence, delivery or pickup is not available during that week. 500 Dollars down via pay pal within 48 hours of auction.
