motrhd Store I am regretfully listing my baby for sale,this is the coolest '57 Ranchero that you will ever see! I will try to list everything but I am sure that I may miss some. Body:New sheet metal and Imron paint was done in 1993 on this Canadian Ranchero at the cost of $5400 in 1993 dollars. The door handles are shaved, there is a frenched power antenna, and a custom fiberglass bed cover that I had built specifically for this Ranchero. This Ranchero has the very rare station wagon trim package, all in excellent condition. It has been garage stored for 18 years. All glass is new, windshield and rear window is installed, new door and vent glass is included with. Chassis: The rear end is a Ford 9 inch with 4:11 gear and detroit locker, Strange axles, and narrowed for the big Mickeys. Rear suspension is ladder bar with coil overs, professionally built by a race chassis shop in Canada. The front suspension is basically stock with Ford power disc brakes. The wheels are Centerline with Pro Trac skinnies up front and 18 wide 33 tall Mickey Thompsons Sportsmans out back. Engine and Trans: Here is a real jewel, this is a 1970 351 Boss engine built for racing, four bolt mains, forged pistons, steel crank, balanced assembly, closed chamber 4 barrel heads with Ferea valves, screw in studs with Harland Sharpe roller rockers, high volume oil pump with modified oiling system and remote filter, Comp Cams 292 Magnum hydraulic cam, timing chain, pushrods, guide plates and springs. Moroso deep sump pan, high volume fuel pump, competition headers, Demon Race 850 cfm carb. This engine was in a circle track car and was banned from competition in Canada, it was freshened up and installed in this car. I have since added the bigger Comp Cam, rockers, and stainless valves, also an Afco aluminum radator, engine has not been fired since these changes late last year. I also have, but not installed, a Lakewood scatter shield, and new Powermaster high torque starter. This engine could not be duplicated today for any less than $10,000. The trans is the ever popular top loader 4 speed with a new uninstalled Hurst vertical gate inline shifter. I have seen these shifters for sale here on ebay for $1200. Interior: The seat is new still in plastic, from an 02 dodge Durango, charcoal grey velour, split bench with drivers side power(needs to be bolted down). New white headliner is installed. Autometer pro comp tach and full dash guages, dash is very nicely done. A pro street style roll cage for ease of entry and exit. Billet aluminum flamed half wrap steering wheel, a mooneyes surfboard rearview mirror. This is a beautiful solid pro street vehicle that I hate to part with, but I do not have time for it, really my loss is going to be someones gain. I have had my pro street vehicles featured in national magazines, I do not build junk, only unique professional vehicles. I am too busy building and riding custom motorcycles to properly finish and enjoy this vehicle that I sought after for so long. I have all the parts to finish this fine ride, great chrome bumpers, stock grill, custom tail light lenses, door panels, kick panels, power window kit, new coolflex radiator hoses,new Ford Racing tall chrome valve covers.........you name it, I have it. There you have it, I am sure that I will shed a tear when it goes, but I don't have the time, the energy, or the room.
