1983 Honda

I just acquired this 1983 FT500 Ascot. This is the single-cylinder 500cc version of the Ascot, the VT is the V-twin motor same as the Shadow. It has 18,261 miles on the odometer. It's in decent original condition but not running at this time. The starter is dead now but this was a registered and running bike within the last year. I tried jumping the starter directly but no response. I did push it in gear and the motor turns over as it should. The only damage I see to the bike is the gauge housing - it's cracked and the tachometer lense and needle are missing. The tank is shiny clean inside and the seat has no rips. These bikes were only sold in the USA in '82 and '83 - so here's an unusual Honda to add to your collection. Valid NJ title in the last owners name.
