This auction is for a 1959 GMC pickup V8 100. Basically GMC truck engines were pulled off the Pontiac/GM line. This was a 389 Pontiac derated to a 336 cubic inch - 200 hp. Most of these trucks were built with 6 cylinder so this was a rare V8 option. Wrap around window! VERRRRY RARE FACTORY V8 It has a 4 speed manual transmission. Truck also has a rare 3 speed brownie box option. This basically is a secondary inline transmission (overdrive). Really rare and hard to find. If anyone know more please let me know. I will be glad to update. Has not been run in years, but it turns over. It should run, it ran when parked, but we can't guarantee There is a baggy over carburator to keep out dust, dirt and water. New brakes and brake cylinders put in just prior to parking it. Engine is original - paperwork all matched We really don't have much history on the truck. We tried to take many pics and give you an accurate description. Paperwork is current. Passenger bezel has a small ding Driver side signal frame is damaged Cab top is good no dents Bumper great Grill great (fantastic) Hood great Passenger side front qtr panel has small rust in lower bottom and two long scratches Passenger door has small rust on bottom Driver front qtr panel two small dings and small amount of rust in lower corner Driver door has dent in outer door panel Both door hinges are good Windshield good Rear glass good Driver vent/wing lamination is bubbling driver door window, very small bubbling beginning passenger vent/wing cracked passenger door window good Driver rear qtr panel has dent Passenger side qtr panel good tail lights good AM Radio Cab floors do have some heavy surface rust, easily repairable, if you are going to restore it.
