Vehicle Detail
Low Reserve I am selling my 1990 Porsche 944 S2 Convertible. This is a rare sports car as fewer than 2,000 were imported to the US in 1990. The color is also fairly rare. It is glacier blue with a blue leather interior. My family is moving to a new home and I need to downsize vehicles. This car has been stored in my garage since I've owned it. The paint is decent. I replaced the clutch two years ago at 124,000 miles. I also replaced the top with a Porsche OEM top 18 months ago. I haven't driven this car since it was stored last year as I've been busy with house projects and trying to get moved. I recently replaced the battery. The vehicle will turn over but I am having problems getting it to fire. That said, I haven't put much effort into trying to start it either. It is a beautiful sports car and very fun to drive. It is nearly perfect 50/50 weight distribution and corners like it is on rails. It will need new tires soon. This car is being sold as is and will need to be transported as I don't have time to get it going before I listed it. That said, I have an aggressive reserve price. Thanks!!On Jul-04-11 at 05:04:42 PDT, seller added the following information: To clarify a few points. Their was no issue with the timing belt when the car was parked. It was replaced by the previous owner at 100,000 miles and the compression tested fine. The only issue was a leak from one of the elbow pieces attached to the water pump returning to the radiator. This piece was replaced. There were no other known issues with the water pump but due to the age it is probably time to proactively replace the timing belt and water pump. I am lowering the reserve so the car will sell. This is being sold as is because I won't have room for this at my new home. Thanks!
